Thanks for the video. Have had a door handle grommet to replace for months
and could never find all the right screws to remove. I too thought I heard
glue splitting and found out that it was likely the fast clips on the
inside of the panel that were being stressed. Better to put the tool (or
tape wrapped screw driver? to prevent scratching) and pry away from the
interior of the car to pop out the fast clips.
@andrezbim The Jag dealer is the only place to get the real thing. For a
while I was using some that I bought at an auto parts store, but they
didn’t work as well as the Jag clips.
Thanks for showing, I think i need the clip tool though. I can faintly hear
glue splitting when i try to get my fingers between the metal and the trim.
Nope, that was in Utah near a place called Wilson’s Arch. You can get
similar clips at most auto parts stores, but to get an exact replacement
you’ll have to go to the Jag dealer.
I lost that clip that goes to the xk8 driver door light the one you pop out
its that bent stample looking clip know where i can but this? I have it
duck taped its bothering me alot I will have a video of my xk8 later today

@rdc25467 Mine’s a 2003 but I’m pretty sure that all XK8’s and XKR’s from
1997 through 2006 are the same. Do you have an XJ8 or an XK8?
