Please, how do you deal with the valleys/ledges in the cardboard? Do you press the fabric in, i.e. stretch it into the valleys? Or do you shift the fabric, applying it "progressively"…?
What an awesome guide! Much appreciated!
Edit: Yes, as stated at 22:43
The car seems to be a LWB, am I right?
What a fabulous tutorial. From someone who’s experienced aircraft trim, it can be a tricky process. This video has given me the shove I need to redo my X350 headliner. Thank you.
Excellent video. Thanx so much for taking the time to create it. Could you suggest a source for replacement headliner material for a 2004 XJR?
I wish I had used this method and kept my original headboard rather than swapping it out for a fibreglass unit (from a well known supplier) When the car sits in the Sun for an extended period you can really feel the heat radiating onto your head inside the cabin because the fibreglass board does not resist heat transfer as well as the original – nobody tells you that before you buy it. Not only that but the material is sagging again after only a few months.
Very good video thanks.
What a fantastic and informative video ! The level of detail you provided for all the intricacies of the process really takes the fear out of tackling an ugly problem and making it look brand new again. Thank you so much for making the video, you are a master craftsman.
Really good tutorial, thank you.
Hi, my jaguar X358 has cooled seats. If I disconnect them, will I have to have the air conditioning regassed. Many thanks. John.
Great video! Does anyone know if it would be a similar process for a x300?
Does the harness need regluing to the headlining board? If not, will it rattle?
Brilliant video! A step above. Really useful hints & tips. Many thanks!
Thanks for that, this job has been giving me the fear but now I think I can do it.
Thank you so much!
