It’s more like 121 days according the Wikipedia. I checked the climate of
your country. 😉 After Ford took over Jaguar in ’89, the reliability
improved. But some things still need attention: head gasket blows sometimes
under 100K miles but some cars can do well over 100.000, differential
bearings need attention too, and keeping the drain tubes clean helps
prevent any electrical issues mostly a/c. Upper control arm bushes and
upper shock isolators like to deteriorate.

Hi! These are polyurethane bushes. I bought them at sngbarrattusa You can
also buy OEM bushes at this site. They have usa, brittish, french, german,
dutch sites. Pick the closest to you. (no affil.)

In my country it rains 370 days a year 🙂 How is the reliability of the
XJ40? Any spcial problems that this model has?

Thanks for your comment! Well, this climate is sunny and warm but I
wouldn’t call it dry. 🙂 It’s summer now and it rains every day. But yes,
we don’t have to wear a lot of clothes for 8-9 months of the year, T-shirts
and shorts. 🙂

Nice work! I see you live in a sunny warm and dry climate, which means that
you don’t have all the nasty body protection goo, so you can work almost
without getting dirty hands 🙂 You are so lucky!
