This video is about removing and repairing Jaguar X-type steering wheel controls – both stereo control buttons and cruise control buttons. I did it without disconnecting the battery of my Jaguar and without any risk of deploying the airbag. You know, I am fond of repairing my Jag without removing and installing any extra parts if I can possibly avoid it.
So I removed and repaired the buttons on the steering wheel using just 2 torx L-keys – T30 for unscrewing the airbag bolts and T20 for unscrewing the controls securing bolts.
The OEM part numbers of both the controls are:
Audio control switch : 1X43-14K147-AA
Cruise control switch: 1X43-14K147-BA
