Excellent video, seeing is believing.
Brilliant video, knowledge and discussion. Even though I have never owned an E Type (One day? I have had many XJ's and two XJS V12's) I found this video very informative and interesting. Top stuff young man, best regards from the UK!
Hi Chuck great vid are you planning to do series 2 to series 1 rear end conversion , cheers G
Thanks for the video. I'm just now installing this kit that I bought from you last year. I was one of the people that called with a question of how to attach the chrome bezel to the bonnet (the series 1 bonnet has captive nuts). Your response was to use self tapping screws, which I plan on doing. If my memory is wrong, please let me (and the viewers know). Otherwise, I guess I'm just adding a little more information.
I also notice that to remove the diaphragm it looks like I need to remove the scissor/spring assembly to get room to take out the panel – correct??
In addition, I need to re-route the headlight bucket wiring with a grommet (series 1 1/2 has a blanking grommet there) on the diaphragm so that the headlight wiring goes aft of the diaphragm, then thru the rear of the headlight bucket – correct??
Thanks Chuck, great kit!
How’s your survivor E doing love to see an update
