Next to the ff is the fuel none return valve in the hexagon tube, the valve is at the top, they can disappear.
I've changed 100s ff on these over the last 50 years.

Hi Jesse. I recently bought a 93 XJS and the trunk refuses to open: not with a key or the glove box button. When I press it, I can hear a click in the trunk lock, but it doesn't open. Any suggestions about how to get into the trunk without drilling out the lock? thanks.

On a side note. I found out you can take out the switch relay and crank the car before removing pumps etc to minimize pressure. I ended up changing all the hoses just in case. May as well i thought, I am there making a mess may as well take advantage hahah

Hi Jesse! When you do this process do you need to be careful of any air in the system? Much appreciate your response

As you comment it's not unknown for 30+ year old fuel tanks to start to rust inside and shed rust particles into the fuel. Some will finish up in the filter but far worse the contamination will damage the fuel pump first. It's worth installing a pre-filter in the 1/2" line before the pump this might just save you a breakdown. Fuel injector pumps are very sensitive to contaminated fuel.

Greggory Tame says:

well that's odd. the fuel filter on mine is in the front, near the injection rail..
