Brad Hennecy says:

I took a pic of the inside of my phone, blew it up and printed it out. I
put the screws on the output as I removed them to be sure they went back in
the right place.

bean420man says:

Wow, the insides of the iPhone 3GS make it seem ancient. Though, in 09/10,
this was new, only 5 years ago. Just wow.

Jaye L says:

The egg carton idea is genius!

Siby Sebastian says:

Great video and well explained. Good job!

Mark Swartz says:

Poor video, he doesn’t actually show you how to do each step!

Charlotte Swanson says:

don’t need a suction cup. Just wedge it out!

robert randle says:

this just dont help any it dont show how you have took it apart sorry but
what a pathetic vid

Ronaldopopkings says:

Fkn Iphone, takes me 10sec to replace my battery on my android phone..

TheMudscorpion says:

Nice one, followed your instructions and when it was all back together and
switched on it worked first time! Three things you need which you didn’t
mention – eyes like a hawk, fingers as thin as reeds and the patience of a
saint! :)

František Fiala says:

sorry, this video is pointless. Just another howto video witch is not
actual howto.

Trentino Priori says:

Thankyou for vid, well done.

David boland says:

Great vid well worth watching thanx following on twitter now

RMF says:

wow. could those idiots at apple make it any more complicated to just
change a frkking battery?

PyroLordofFire says:

Thanks for doing the video! Found battery on eBay and just did surgery on
my iPhone. The “patient” is in recovery and charging. Thanks again!!

Wendyschunck says:

I’ve followed your steps.. Put everything back in but i found out the
speaker isn’t working. Any idea where it’s localised?

CassettePlaya1 says:

@xadam123 Yes it is needed to safely pry the screen up as its the screen
that comes out first and there is nothing to grip it and its not the back
cover that comes out first like whats normal on other phones.

HundredsOfAdjuchas says:

the battery on mine goes down in 1 hour and i have replaced it .it also
gets realy hot. do you know what may be causing this????

wizjermaine2011 says:

Hey Man After You Did This, Did Ur Battery Last Longer?

HighTechDad says:

@xadam123 The suction cup really does help to get the glass off. You need
to grip it. However, you can go to your local hardware store and get a
suction cup.

CuteKat111 says:

I was able to replace the battery while watching the video. Anyone
complaining about the instruction shouldn’t be messing around with their
iPhone

chiefmegadeth says:

agree 100%

HighTechDad says:

They made it much easier on the iPhone 4.

HighTechDad says:

It is tricky. The iPhone 4 is by far a lot easier to do.

inam188 says:

I done everything you said and fitted in the battery but the iphone 3g
screen does not turn on. The phone however is on as the vibrate buttion
works. All i can see is a black screen i.e no part off the screen is
working. Could anyone help me and address the issue i seem to be having and
what steps i should take to correct it thanks

2632jibaro says:

Great Video. Would be nice if you showed in video how you unhook the ribbon
cables and hook them back and the camera mount how you replace and put
back. The new batter looks like the battery from apple. How did you get the
same battery. Jason Cruz

edayn1281990 says:

wayyyyy too much work

sutra1976 says:

@lu2look well, I think you are correct doing so since the operation is not
difficult but takes quite a bit of dexterity and patience…;-)

SpyceySalad says:

seems to me you’re the dumb piece of shit in this situation 🙂

WeRapeChildren says:

@xadam123 You can use the green tool the company sent you to pry the edge
upwards as an other option

HighTechDad says:

If I had done it real-time, the video would have been quite a bit longer.
I’m not an iPhone repair guy, just like geeking out on the tech.

HighTechDad says:

(cont) If it doesn’t show a glow at all, then I’m thinking that you either
didn’t fully snap in a cable or connect something, or that a cable got
damaged in the process. They are very small and quite delicate. You could
have bent something which broke a cable. I would open it up once again and
carefully inspect all of the connections, cables and connectors for any
damage.

HighTechDad says:

The seal shouldn’t come off as I believe it is part of the screen.

Stef.e46 says:

Where do i get a suction cup ?

tHeWasTeDYouTh says:

this looks damn hard dammmit my battery runs out in like an hour dammmmit

RUFCxGaming says:

I tried it and it broke my phone you dumb piece of shit

Rod Cornette says:

I changed battery on 3GS no problem, Thanks! But now earpiece speaker will
not work for phone calls, sound is only from speaker on phone and iPod.
Please help, did I forget to plug something in correctly? Great video by
the way!

RobbedCrowd says:

After 5:10 I was like screw it

Bill Gearhiser says:

Hi. I posted a video to answer some detailed questions about your video.
Was that a problem? Looks like it’s been deleted.

MrHellworth says:

I cant get one of the screws out! The screw just above the camera (step 12
on the guide) just wont budge for me and I think its slightly spoiled. The
gaps too small to get any pliers or anything in Any Ideas?

Zachary LeBlanc says:

The egg carton idea is freaking genius!!!

HighTechDad says:

Haha, thanks!
