I am also very interesting to know if this is doable on an X250. My other car, a Skoda Superb II 3T5 of 2014 has been upgraded with dynamic turn signal and this is a world of difference in safety as they really draw attention. Especally when driving North (Netherlands) where winter is long and days are pretty short. Thus most of the time not much of a light outside.

I too did the same mod as you, but fitted black mirror caps instead. I think my caps are OEM and not aftermarket like yours, so I reckon that's where your problem is. However I did manage to break that inside clip on one mirror but found that if you can still get the inside edge to almost be flush with the mirror stalk then with a bit of shoving it fits ok. If you can get that flush then the cap is safely held on by the mirror surround. Bugger of a job though!!

I feel your pain with the broken clip having done the same fitting the dynamic indicators. I also had fitment issues with the indicators themselves being unable to get them under the clip you show. I thought at the time this might have contributed to breaking the clip as it is a very exact fit. Your video prompted me to go and check whether it was still secure and it lifted straight away from the front. Keep an eye on yours. I think I may get the glue gun out and see if can badge it.
I fitted dynamic indicators to my X260. Quick and easy to fit, look great and brighter than factory.
The carbon mirror covers will be next.

Q. have you considered carbon fiber wrap, my experience of after market parts (especialy carbon fiber) is that they never fit properly and cause a heap of hurt. I'm about to embark on wrapping the lower fins on my side vents, they are chrome at the moment and I want to de-chrome my XF. Love the boot spoiler, now I'll go for the carbon fiber look, it suits the car. Apologies about the pimp mobile comment with the ambient lighting, It just didn't work for me, and your right.. each to their own. Looking forward to your next installment.
Looks great, gutted about the clip though. I'd have dremmelled the inside a bit to make it easier to fit.

Looking awesome! I wanted to see them fitted and in use before ordering mine and now I definitely will order them. On my older XF, I do have LED bulbs fitted to the mirror (I don't think they are canbus) and I don't get any errors.
