You do realise you did this on a carpet? That creates static.
Are you sure the little black thing isnt upside down? theres a gold socket
just above that looks like it slots into, for the Antenna shield, similar
to Wifi Adapters inside laptops
How do you know you need a new battery? mine start turning off by itself is
that mean my battery is dead?
Once inside one of the screws was stripped and could not remove the
battery. Any fixes?
The little black thing that popped out, what does it do?
is it true when you do this you lose all the data on your iphone?
get your fn fingers and hands out of the way……….geeeeeeZ
Thank you for posting this video. You saved me about $50! I was worried it
would be really hard to change the battery, but it was super easy. I used
to work in a jewelry store and one of my tasks was to change watch
batteries. There are some watches that are more complicated than what I
just did with my wife’s iPhone.
85 bucks at apple for them to put one in.
8.79 on ebay for the battery and about 10 minute job… 🙂
thanks for the video, made it as easy as I figured 🙂 the ground popped
out on me too… too funny :-)
Great vid – we purchased the fixit with tools – same price so why would you
not!! The only recommendation I can make to others, if you have a strong
magnet, pass your screwdrivers over it a couple times to magnetize them –
then you don’t need tweezers. And no – a magnetized screw driver will not
hurt you electronics.
Cheers, Patrick
Thanks a lot!
I cant remove the battery because the screw is stripped, any fixes its so
annoying was very careful with it as well just paid £8 for a battery.
Can i replace the battery on the 4s with a 5s battery ?
Heey guys, this video is excellent !!! I wanted to ask you guys one
question. I have two iphone 4s, and i want to remove a wireless chip from
one iphone 4s and put it into the other iphone 4s. Is this possible ? Can i

and put it to another iphone 4s ?? Thank you verry much !!
This worked perfectly for me. And it must have been fate that I clicked on
your video, because my connector got out of alignment, too. Thankfully I
wasn’t too intimidated by it since I’d watched your video! My iPhone’s
working great. Thank you!
It worked fine, thanks a lot!
Thanks, HighTechDad. I didn’t know where from the small black clip popped
out, while replacing the battery on my wife’s phone. Your video helped so
much.
Great video, I just ordered a replacement as my phone just turns off even
when at 50% life so I assume after 3 years the battery us dead. Your video
made it very simple and I like the live walk through. Can’t wait until my
replacement comes.
My iPhone was about 80% charged and then shut off. I could not power it
back on even when plugged in. Then I pushed the power button and the home
key at the same time and it powered up. Not sure why this happened.

When did Jack Black start doing iphone DIY?
If I understood correctly from 9:25 it only needed to be done if the little
black thing piped out right?
If everything goes fine I shouldn’t do that… just close the two screws and
I am done right?
So what should i do to troubleshoot the black and gold wifi clip? I did
windex and still having a problem. Also, I see no sign of physical damage?
you know that if you pull the plastic tab the battery will just pop out
