Just wanted to say thanks for the tip on using the 5-ton puller to remove
tension from the key. I putzed around with C-clamps and it was a PITA.
Since this was a one-time job for me, I didn’t want to purchase the
expensive factory tool so this was a nice compromise.

Thank you! The puller was the perfect idea

@X2N18 has anyone answered you yet? i would either get different rear
springs (yours are prolly weak) or lower the front by turning the bolts
that twist the torsion bars (see 2:03 of this video) turn them counter
clockwise to lower the front. count the turns and make both sides even.
measure frame heights to double check your adjustments

@Mason764 They just slid off for me…and it is a pretty rusty truck. But
if they don’t just spray them with a little deep-penetrating contact
cleaner.

I just got new ready lift torsion keys but they put a smaller torsion key
bolt and my torsion bars arnt cranked at all so I want to put my old
torsion bolts back in, can I just take the bolt out without having a
torsion key unloading tool and replace it with the stock one? Your answer
would be greatly appreciated

Mason764 says:

Once you relieve pressure on the bars and loosened the crossmember do the
keys slide right off? Or are they pressed on?

when ur life is on the line it works half the time! hahaha

Brandon T Smith says:

@X2N18 You should probably find a leaf spring from each side of a similar
year blazer as yours (the longest one preferably) and get new center pins.
Then add a leaf to ur spring set up. One spring should give u about 1 inch
of lift in the rear. Nothing will happen to the front if I don’t do
anything. It should just level it out. You could also do a lift block but I
prefer add a leaf because then you can actually pull a small trailer
instead of a year cart haha good luck!
