That was actually a very clear and comprehensive vid!
Will be very helpful for me when installing on my Dmax, just would have recommended some conduit / tubing to protect the wire underneath the car – but probably not essential

Great instructional, very helpful for installing the exact same system in my own Mu-x. I noticed you have the reed switch in the trailer plug wired so that the reversing proximity warning sensors are disabled when reversing while towing. I have the same flat trailer socket but having some trouble working out how to connect the reed switch to the car wiring system, I couldn't find any hints or ideas online – can you offer any help with this?

How did you perforate the grommet in the firewall?

@maskofsorrow says:

Does it affect your car warranty or insurance if you DIY??? You explained the procedure well and anyone could follow it but there's that element of uncertainty about insurance forfeiture risk with DIY. Would like to do it myself.

One end of the orange wire joins to the supplied connector at the rear of the vehicle. But where does the other end connect to?

One of the best installation videos. Many thanks for sharing.

Clear, logical instructions which could be used for many vehicles.

Great install guide. Don't forget to install the locking clip on that 4 pin molex plug.
