Thanks for this and your other videos. They have helped me a great deal in
my weekend mechanic wars. The rack and pinion on the Explorer was
especially helpful for my Explorer. Thanks again.
to change the fluid do you leave the car running because i hear the sound
of the car running
Thanks for the video, I am doing the work myself. Nowadays I need to save
as much as I can.
change trrans. fluid on a 2001 escape
good job on the video
This Michigan Do- It- Yourself auto repair guy is the BEST! Clear
instruction and well spoken. THANKS!
1:50 …
fucking hottie
hey man great video .it helped me alot when i did my trans thanks a lot
…the pimp
@brarautorepairs seriously? wow thank you so much. your really smart:D
Were you changing the trans. filter on a 2003 chevy trailblazer? That is
the year that I have. Seems to be a question about the depth or size of the
fluid pan when ordering the replacement filter. I have the LT L6 Engine.
Normally 2wd drive but can switch to 4wheel drive. Any help when ordering
part or where to get would be appreciated.
you say that till you lose a eye from a single drop of trans fluid
What is aluminum? Are you talking about Aluminium?
i think the biggest problem that people have with jobs like that are nobody
has the tools to do it. i cant count on one hand how many thousands of
dollars ive spent on my car on jobs that I could have done myself if id had
the tools!!! i just had my transmission rebuilt and not my car needs a new
engine its a FWD so i might just have to send it to a motor shop.
next time wear some safty glasses, every else was good..
WHY do all the expertvillage automotive videos fail to acknowledge that
they are giving instructions specific to the vehicle being worked on? And
they always start in the middle of a project.
so ai have a 98 Nissan maxima GXE is this the correct video for me
i started about 3 years agoi couse i didnt have enuff money to pay someone
do to my tranny ..now i do it pretty much fulltime…i riun ads in my local
newspaper…on the internet(cant tell u which site tho) cant be stealing my
business…..anyhow i do well with it
Common!!! don’ t be lazy. if you got a garage you got enough space to store
ALL the tools you will ever need to make any repair .Dont need to purchase
expensive PROTO (professional tools) hardware to make a good weekend
repair.dont wanna buy shine new tools?well, you can always go to your local
shop and ask about next garage sale ( i dont know if expression comes from
this practice)…they always change their tools for new ones from time to
time. regards…and get your tools now.
I can see he was changing transmission fluid on a Ford Probe. hahahahaha
lol Thats common with those retarded cars. lol
Why does he touch the oil with his hand? it says on the oil “CAUSES CANCER,
DO NOT TOUCH” HE SHOULD HAVE WORE NITRILE GLOVES!!!
@DtoWnSux1 Manual transmission don’t have wet type clutches like automatic
transmission and hence do not slip the way a worn out automatic would. You
may change the fluid without fear!
Thank you so much for add the captions! God bless you!!!
i heard the same from a guy at local shop. The reason seem to be that the
metal debris in old transmission fluid turn the fluid “heavier”, i mean, it
gives more viscocity to the fluid. This compensates the wear in inner
plates and dics and makes they dont spin. I think if this were true you
could obtain the same efect using a heavier and new ATF instead of keeping
your old fluid in your AT.
Derbies? U mean debris?
how do I tell where this video starts, and the next steps are? I’d hate to
get mixed up.
few cautious word: when you are under the car like this, wear safety
goggles because there are some derbies might fall on your eyes.
my 1999 dodge dakota rt is leaking transmission fluid ! ! ! can you help me
please ?
Did you watch at :16 through :30…He already did………You fail for not
paying attention.
Yeah, cars aren’t cheap and they are good to you if you are good to them.
Its better to replace the filter. Im sure you could reuse the filter if
money was an issue, but it should be replaced.
For people who don’t have any idea what’s going on under the hood. This is
a great video. They are simple and to the point. Plain English. I know a
lot of people comment that he’s not doing everything perfectly. But for me,
a guy who knows nothing about his vehicle. This was a great learning
opportunity.
How about putting on some safety glasses?
@MrOldeastdallas, evey 50,000 is pretty common practice, but the sooner the
better, every 20,000 for change would be about ideal, anything sooner then
that would probably be excessive.
Real men don’t need safety glasses or gloves what are you a pussy? Grow
some balls lol
Lol talked hella proper nd shit lol like if i was reading a manual xD
i have a flat tyre. what should i do? it’s really weird but because it’s
only flat on the bottom…how the hell can i get air into the bottom of my
tyre only.
I just changed my car’s transmission fluid for the first time in my life.
The used fluid smells disgusting. It smells like a wet dog but much more
concentrated.
@expertvillage how often do u change the filter?
Well spoken..Had me laughing…You should of been a sergen..lol
@WanderleiSilva29 y do u have to be a ass
good teacher.. tnks
I liked your job. You seem to be very carefully when doing your job.
Congrats.

@spazzin51 y would they tell u to not change it
