How did you make the adapter plate to bolt on the transmission to the
engine. Any help would be appreciated
You will need a vacuum source (small 12v vacuum pump will do fine) for
getting the heater controls two work. Also, the Front Axle Actuator is
vacuum operated, so the 4×4 won’t work unless you have a vacuum source or
rig up a mechanical means to actuate the front axle.
Awesome! looking at dropping one of these in my Trooper. It would be a bit
heavier so I am thinking about getting it will charged with an intercooler.
Awesome project, looks like it runs like a champ!
This makes me miss my little s10 back home its a 91 though but damn that
thing was fun I mean yeah I love the flatbed I got not but yeah haha
i used to own an 89 2wd with the good ole 2.5 iron duke inline 4cyc throtle
body injected 4spd auto shortbed that lil truck ran good was a torquey it
would break traction at times but was a good running truck
thats one sharp truck you got there man, my first car I drove on the street
was a 1989 S10 4×4, looked pretty close to that but it was the dark blue
metallic and had the 4.3 TBI auto, i sold it to my buddy, then bought it
back, then kept it for a while and my other bud wanted it bad, he traded me
a car that was worth double what the truck was so i couldnt pass it up.
That little truck seen ALOT of mud and i had some much fun in that thing.
it was pretty bad on gas as all 4.3 TBI ‘s are but it had plenty of power.
they are pretty much impossible to find in ohio now, they are all rusted
away or scrapped from that stupid cash for clunkers program. I want another
one but i think i will end up with a jeep Cherokee or maybe the grand
cherokee, at least i can find those.
Great little truck
Have you ever considered just running a small 12v vacuum pump to operate
the controls in the dash?
That’s bad ass man! You ever thought to put like a 2.5″ down pipe and like
a 3″ or a 3.5″?
Nice video Curt. Good job man. If you do not have an idea for a tach, I
can give you a alternator number that has a third pole in it. It is
designed just for that, providing a tach reading meaursement. Thanks.
Doug
The hitch and trailer plug is really stealth man. Well done. I pull my
sailboat with mine, so that’s perfect.
… I want this truck
I want drive this pickup truck in THailand :D
put JetA in it to see if it works and if it does see what MPG it gets ….
???
Too bad you did not install a Cummins 4BT
How much hp and tq are you at?. I live in socal and my s10 is a 96 it has
the 2.2 im lucky if I hit 35 in 3rd gear going down hill lol. The smog laws
suck!!! So this would be a good way to stop having to smog the truck out
here cheers Charles
