Thanks for the advice! I didn’t even think of replacing the wheel bearings but its a really good idea.
Hi there “theprojectjunkie”. Thanks for the upload, i am not a mechanic but my advice is that if you go through all this trouble ( and it is a big job) to replace the axle i would replace the wheel bearings as well for peace of mind… 🙂 i would do it any way. take care and thanks again.
Thanks for the advice. I tried a impact screw-gun but it didn’t work. I didn’t think about the screwdriver and hammer method. If there’s a next time I’ll give it a shot. Thanks again.
thanks for the video very helpful in helping me replace my friend’s 95 isuzu rodeo.
to avoid stripping the screw, either use an impact screwdriver or a Phillip screwdriver and a hammer, hit the screwdriver with a hammer and turn the screwdriver.
It was kind of a pain to get the gasket back on. I had to use the ball separation tool and a hammer to work it back into position. Kind of like hit and rotate the axle hit and rotate the axle, until it was worked back into position.
i’m to the point of replacing the gasket and bearing on the driver side but cant get the bearing to slide all the way forward. Could you explain please
