@JayzBeerz mine has around 239,900 neverdone tranny or engine repairs they
do suck alot of oil but they run great dual no exaust and performance chip
helps
@jbsulliv google ‘planet isuzoo’ since I apparently cannot post a URL “The
easiest way to relieve tension from the belt tensor is to place a 1-2 foot
pipe on the end of your socket wrench (this will give you more torque).” If
that doesn’t help, their forum is very good.
for anyone else who comes across this and has the same behavior – it’s not
the idle tensor’s fault. It’s just a rough engine idle that causes the
tensor to bounce. I replaced BOTH of them (serpentine and timing) and the
bounce reoccurred less than a month later.
that engine is pure crap mines brand new was sucking a quart of oil every
500 miles and isuzu said that was normal. here i am 12 years later and the
engine just died at 94,000 miles.
hey the knocking on these engines is most likely loose connections on the
coil packs, or a incorectly installed spark plug, the plug near the brAke
booster is not hard, you take off the Ac hard line mounting bracket and use
different extensions email me if you have any questions jwkpt1978@gmail.com
@EasyBakeSmiles the nocking means its a rod nocking it means [a piston is
bent or broken apart] he needs to take it easier on the gas pedal it will
go without squeesing it to the floor
*drive belt tensioner
do you have trouble chanching the sparkplug thats neares to the
boosterbrake cuz it takes me about 1/2 hour just to change it. the rest are
easy
@jgaynor lol my poor dad. his troopers engine was knocking, then all of a
sudden the fucking thing blew
@ironman6640 hey man after research it was the tranny that died not the
engine.

thats called a belt tensioner theres no such thing as an idle tensor
Thats an easy fix with time and the right tools of course.
How do you adjust the tensioner? My belt broke and I am trying to replace
it.
