my rotor wont come off! im guess its really rusted on? good video buy the
way!
@katrinajanine25 It is likely due to the emergency brake bads and the ridge
built up around the inside of the drum(that is the back side of the center
where the e-brake contacts to rotor). If you can turn the rotor freely and
wiggle it back and forth you can loosen the e-brake adjuster. There is a
small rubber plug in the back, once that is removed you can use a
screwdriver to loosen the adjuster. Be sure to check out helpyoudiy . com
for other videos and links to parts for your project.
Always, always, always hang your caliper!! Use a bungee cable or string to
tie it to the suspension springs or something else. You can damage your
brake lines.
@derbydog07 Thank you for the comments, I often choose not to use the old
pads in between just to ensure I do not misalign the ‘piston’. I should
mention, if while depressing the pistons excessive pressure is required
there may be corrosion on the inside of the caliper body or piston.
I really like the video and thanks for posting. I would be careful letting
the caliper hang free, but thanks for posting. It would be great if you
could explain what you’re doing a little more for newbies to brake work.
Great Job!
@mikeybarratt Thank you for the comment. I hope you had time to check out

Did you put the allen screw back in the rotor?
Also a good idea to use the old pads as a buffer between a wrench or clamp
to avoid damaging your pistons.
how much is the way?
