In this video, I show you a common problem with many 2007-2014 Infiniti G35/G37/Q40 sedans (may be an issue with the Coupes as well, I’m not sure)…. In many cases, the rear license plate screws seize within the nuts that are encased in the U-Clips/Speed Clips in the license plate bracket… Many times the only way to remove them is to cut the screw heads off and replace the clips… Either some people don’t know of this method, or some people choose to rather pay $40 for an entirely new bracket from the dealer…. I chose the cheaper method of just installing new U-Clips/Speed clips…
Unfortunately during the process of removing the license plate bracket, I broke the plastic mounting holes in the bumper…. I had to “weld” them back into place in order to mount the license plate bracket again… I show you how to weld plastic in the process.
Thanks for watching!
I have exactly the same 2 problems with my 2012 G37x Sedan; the rust to death license lights holder, and broken plate holder clip…I ordered from eBay a new metal light holder, but I'm having a bad time installing the metal light holder and the plate holder clip? Thanks you!
What bit do you use to remove those screws
ur actually saving me holy shit. i just bought my used g37 and i have this problem -.-
