I have problems with my gears not engaging or not releasing especially
1st,2nd or reverse. From what I researched it seems to be the slave
cylinder that needs replacing. Could this be a solution to the problem?
Great video, but I have one question. Would it be possible for me to use a
brake bleeder/vacuum pump and do away with the need to pump the clutch
pedal and open and close the bleeder screw?
My 350z has 27k miles is a 2008.. Never ragged out. I’ve noticed that when
I occasionally push it .. say rolling at 30mph, drop to second gear and
push it to 6800 rpm, go to third push it to 6k’ish.. then I back off as I’m
well over 100mph.. That after I when I’m shifting from that 2nd to 3rd gear
with RPM’s so high the clutch pedal feels very different,.. it’s not
slipping but feels spongy or just ‘off’. Back down to normal shifting/rpms
it’s fine again. Is it likely a fluid replacement would help/fix this?
Any ideas on what diameter tubing you used to put on that bleeder
nipple/valve to drain?
coz that’s what you use. See your manual. It’s “hydraulic fluid”. Brake and
clutch…same stuff but you need to make sure you’re using the correct
“dot” and NEVER mix them.
Why don’t you just put the cap on, pump the clutch, and repeat the whole
process again (using the syringe to pull out dirty brake fluid) instead of
getting under the car to empty the fluid?
I thought you were not supposed to let that reservoir empty. per the fsm.

My clutch is suck at the bottom. What do I do too get it back to normal. My
fluid is clean bit I can’t get my pedal to come back up by itself

I wish clutch fluid stayed in my 350Z long enough to go dark. Shitty Nissan
CSC
brake fluid is the standard for clutch fluid as well.. it is all hydraulic
fluid, for automotive systems…
I wish the quality of the video was better. 🙁
there is no way in hell i’m going to pay a mechanic hundreds of dollars to
do this after watching this
Awesome video! Hard for me to see the clutch bleeder screw but it’ll be
easy enough to find a diagram of that
Very helpful, thanks!
why did u use brake fluid for ?

@entusiastautocare what kind of clutch fluid u use?
Brake fluid is the required fluid for the clutch hydraulics , it is written
on the clutch reservoir cap.
