I know, I tried everything. the brake wasn’t engaged at the point, cause both wheels were off the ground. sometimes the E brake pads will still catch, but I think this one was entirely from rust.
Probably couldnt remove the rear rotor because the parking brake is engaged, it is a drum type emerg brake / parking brake that uses the inner portion of the rotor as the brake drum.
I think the pad’s I got had one pad that was wrong. there was 3 with tabs and one without. It’s one of the reasons I don’t like Oriellys overpriced parts.
Instead if grinding the retaining tabs off the pads, you could have just switched sides (ie: put the outside pad on the inside and visa versa). Then the tab is on the wrong side to lock into caliper retaining tab.
