How to Replace the Cabin Filter on Infiniti and Nissan Cars

This two-minute video shows you how to replace the cabin filter on Infiniti and Nissan automobiles. This works on the Nissan Maxima and Ultima models that have the interior air filter installed behind the glove box. This video also covers the Infiniti M and G series sport coupes and sedans that also install the cabin filter behind the glove box. The original Nissan filter sells for around $40 at the dealership. I opted for an aftermarket filter for about half the price. Nissan and Infiniti cars have been putting the cabin filter in the same place for about a decade. However, it might look slightly different throughout those 10 years. In 2013 they finally put a hatchway access in some models so you don’t have to take out the glove box liner. Also note in some of the long-winded four to eight minute videos that show this procedure, they leave the glove box in and use super long Phillips screwdriver. The glove box comes out so quick and easily I don’t find it necessary to go that route. Regardless of the method you use replacing the cabin filter on Infiniti and Nissan automobiles shouldn’t take more than about 15 minutes. We are talking about releasing a few clips and removing seven number two Phillip head screws. The degree of difficulty makes the operation within the reach of most do-it-yourself auto mechanics.

If your still out there i have a question that no one yet can answer. I have many relays in a box that do not have volts or amps marked on them. If i look up the part number,, same problem.. I do not know what car they came from and that should not matter. How does a master mechanic find out this info… I am not fixing a car,, i am building one. I have asked other the same question and i get replies like they should be marked. Does anyone know this answer?

Is it the same as qx30?

You made an error and said the arrow should point up when the one you removed was pointing down. They should point down in the direction of airflow.

Jack Toyama says:

Arrow should be pointed down, direction of air flow.
