I just want you to know that there’s no one who has put together a video as
careful as this one. I think the others have assumed that everyone knows
all the terms that carpenters use, some of us don’t. The other important
thing about yours is that you’ve been able to keep your hands out of the
way of the camera which is difficult when your busy working in a hidden
place. My main question has always been, how to figure where the piece for
the box and the piece for the drawer line up. In other words if the
cabinet is already made and I’m attempting to retrofit a slide within the
‘hard to get into box’ because it already has a top, just how can I make
sure that I get the two pieces aligned? Does that make sense? Without
showing you, it’s kinda’ hard to explain.
I was typing while you were demonstrating so I see that you put these on
the bottom. What if the glides need to go on the sides which is what I was
referring to below in my other comment. BTW, I have watched your video but
it was a few days ago, I’ll watch it carefully again now.
What a relief to FINALLY find a video on this. Don’t know if I.m going to
be able to accomplish this but at least I can show it to a handyman so he
“gets it”. Wonderful instructive video, peanuts butter and all. 🙂 Oh,
btw, what brand of slides did you use, Blum? The heavy duty ones that I
have may not be the same.
Nice instructional video, and GREAT trick for mounting those pesky back
mounting brackets! Wish I had reviewed this before just installing a dozen
new drawers!
Thanks I was facing problems to remove the drawer for repairing, Now for me
very easy to remove the drawer any time.
