Personally I got a CB Radio already with the antenna on the trunk, why not
just put the antenna on the trunk and run it in from the trunk? As long as
you aren’t using your trunk 24/7 it shouldn’t be a problem really with the
wire being pinched. Seems for a more pain free installation to me

That is not an easy instalation..For every video i have viewed it looks
like a real headache.And i regret i just ordered one..
You should see it when we make the custom mount and make the units “float”

i need help i have a wrangler and bought a new sirius, im having problems
with the antenna, cause the roof is plastic, i have no signal at all, i
bought a new antena, and signal is horrible, im really desperate, i have
sirius on another car and is perfect i have 2 new antenas and the same
problem

you still have to pay for a subscription to get the channels or do the
channels come with your radio?
I usually grab power from either the factory radio or the ignition. You
need to find a positive power source that will turn off and on with the
ignition.
Not sure the exact part number. We purchased ours from an automotive parts

radio…..
holy shit this is wayyy to much work
You’ll have to purchase a tuner that can interact with you’re new head
unit. I’ve done installs placing the new antenna into a similar housing and
I’ve done ones where we adapted into the factory wiring for the antenna and
used the factory antenna.

Some times I use the provided mounting hardware, Other times I make custom
brackets, really depends on the application.
Nope. It does have a power switch. I did confirm that it does power down
the modulator and it still sucks. I think what is happening is that when
the Ipad is charging it is sending noise back and cancelling out off-air. I
get slightly better reception if I unplug the I-phone/pad when not in use,
but the end result is better playability while for less off air
interference but the sacrifice of off-air reception.
