I just replaced a starter in my 94 Nissan Sentra and let me tell you it was
a bitch. First of all the starter faced the other way and was underneath
the DOHC.
I have a ’93 nissan altima. It looks like my starter mounts the other way
around, with the back end pointing towards the passenger side. There are
also a group of hoses running to the heater core, and a lot of electrical
wiring running in front that is blocking access to the 2 bolts i need to
take off. Do you know of an easier way to get at them or do I need to move
all of those hoses/wires and hope I can get to it?
@centralunionhighskoo foam sucks water and sends it to the engine and will
fuck it up. same with cotton. cardboard takes time to suck water and sends
it to the engine. so cardboard is always the BEST choice to pick. it
happened to someone at the store while i was buying the cardboard air
intake. he bought 200 foam air intake. and it fucked him over twice. thats
why i dont pick 200 air intake. the way it looks is sick sure. but no one
going to look at it.
What’s that red connector on the positive post on the battery? I have that
on my nissan altima and I have to connect and disconnect because it kills
the fuck out of my battery.
thanks for that, i am looking for the starter solenoid? 1999 Nissan Sentra,
1.6L 4cyl? i can’t find anything anywhere? truly lost? if you can help,
thanks.
My brother has a 92 Sentra with the 1.6L. Its an automatic. From your video
the starter looks like it is facing the drives side. On my brothers car its
facing the passenger side. are the starters different when it comes to an
automatic or manual? also is it that much different from 92 to 93?
help! i have a 20yrs old honda civic & it wont start, but battery’s OK. i
think its the starter problem…how amma gonna change it meself? I’m no diy
geezer!
yeah no kidding, ended up replacing starter and it only clicks and starts
when it wants too. someone said check the grounds of the battery so thats
next on the list…we”ll see what happens
Just now am working on my sons 1992 Sentra. Looking underneath the car and
was like WTF??? So I youtubed it and this video was a GREAT help. Thanks
man.
my mom is such an idiot she paid $280 for changing the car starter when she
could have fucking waited and tell me to change it. she lost $200 … threw
it in garbage. and now she is all like ‘i do watever i want with my
money’… WTF
Most 4 cylinder Hondas carry the tranny on the right hand side of the Motor
remove the intake hose and filter and take a peek down in there you should
see it sitting there .
Thanks for the video man. This looks so easy I’m going to do it during
halftime of Game 2 of the Lakers v Celtics. Let’s just hope the Duralast
from Autozone works.
for ga16de automatic it seems that the starter is sitting next to close to
the oil filter towards the driver side back side of the engine… its a
hard one to get to

They are different the manual has a shorter housing that goes to the fly
wheel, 92-93 should be the same but 94 has a alot of differences .

Such is life bro i def know what you mean.
I don’t know how to test one , there only 2 ways I do that give it a shake
or I turn the head of the starter.
Yes if you have the 1.6 ( GA16de ) but if its a 2.0 ( SR20 ) no.

@Mondafied No problem.
If anyone can’t find their starter, 9 times out of ten, follow the positive
lead from the battery and it’ll take you to it.
how about a bluebird the same way?
Sap David Blaine
@airosobean Never seen that before
