the reason it drops back down on the auto up feature is to prevent being
locked out of the car. my moms altima does that

888TopGear888 says:

My 03 Altima has the same problem with the driver window that yours does.
Then the window completely gave in and the glass just dropped while i was
driving.

Brandon Roth says:

Nice video. Im lookin at a 2007 g35 coupe 6spd myself and found this
helpful. The dealers asking 14500 for it with 50k miles on it.

Nafiz C says:

Hey bro looks like you knew a lot about these g35s.can you help me out with
something?so found a 2006 red g35 coupe with 53k millage on it.and they are
askin 15k price for it.do you it’s a good deal?or they askin too much for
it.53k it’s kinda low millage for g35 coupe I think.what do youthink it’s a
good deal or no?

Adrian Arias says:

i have a 05 and im experiencing some of those issues too like the driver
door doesn’t lock or open with the remote anymore and the window drops down
out of nowhere I thought I was the only one with that problem lol now your
clutch make that rattleling noise all the time too cause mine does its
annoying lemme know

Jay Jake says:

Only electrical problem I’ve had so far is steering volume controls. I
totally feel you on the seatbelt not retracting. Other than that, I had to
spend $50 on a bushing besides regular maintenance. Love this car. Nice
vid….

Arthur Stember says:

The door lock on the drivers side is a known issue which Infiniti does not
acknowledge. You need to replace the solenoid. You can do it yourself. It
requires getting behind the window….

CruuushaL says:

Is the spoiler on G35’s removable?

teknodogg says:

why don’t you take it to infiniti and get it serviced?? =/

B. Jen says:

Thanks, I need to fix the window problem too but my hand is broken at the
moment, How difficult would it be to attempt the reset one-handed?

Miyan Nagib says:

With regards to the gas tank. You gotta put the gas nozzle at the tip when
you fill up. it will fill up completly after that

noel3286 says:

mine is an 04 infiniti g35

DreamANiqhtmare says:

Just chip your damn computer and modify all the bolt ons to aftermarket.
You won’t have anymore issues. I own a 350z, almost nothing is stock
anymore.

0jayreal0 says:

whats the exact make and model of you car

Christoph Clayton says:

does any body have issues with their fuel filler hose and if so is it safe
to drive the car still??

DaFonz29 says:

I love my swinging magic door it makes it close perfect and you don’t
accidently slam the door

Steven A says:

i bought mine new in 2003 and to date i have only replaced the battery
other than normal maintenance tires, oil etc. best car i’ve ever purchased.
vintage car and only has 37000 miles. my son gets it when i kick off!

calvinblinkee says:

What the hell I’d thought Infiniti wouldn’t have that many problems lol.
Even more than the first batch of the B8 A4

mugentuner says:

On the window dropping issue, that happens with a lot of makes. It’s that
the anti-pinch feature needs resetting on the motor. This can be fixed
without removing or replacing the motor on the later years. Turn the key to
‘ON’, drop the window all the way with power switch, then without using the
‘auto up’ feature, raise the window to the top manually and hold it for
about 10 secs. Check to see if the auto up feature has been reset with a
test. On older years, it’s different.

Christian R says:

man i crushed my shins like 3 times with that freaking magic swing door.

Huss Ali says:

Update almost closing on 6 months on my 06 coupe! Not a single problem yet!
Been more reliable than my old civic kinda wish I didn’t get the after
market warranty with it lol, only one issue is the door panel rattle
sometime when bass hits haha but I just stuck a bunch of socks in there and
it worked

Brandon Simmasouk says:

You are naive.

Pi0neer says:

i think this video just turned me off to this car. i currently drive an
integra and was planning a g35 for my next car, but i dont think i could go
to a car that has electronic issues and rattling and such. thats why i like
my integra. it doesnt rattle with my subs (not anything big just a twelve
inch) and the only electronic problem i really have to worr y about is abs.
i dont even know what other car i would want to own at this point, the
integra seems too perfect but i want rwd and speed 🙁

newer infintis are nice and good looking and im sure they are way better
than the first gen obviously. but if youre going to pay 40K+ for a car now
a days you would expect the fucking damn door panels to be different than
the one built in 2004…im just veryyyyyy disappointing in my g35 coupe

oyousef11 says:

never buy an infiniti..they dont invest money in their vehicles they just
raise prices.. and they do a shit job! for crying out loud..the 2012 g37
has the same door panels as my car! and the seats are pretty much the same
fucking thing and they dont do anything about the comfort of the
vehicle..im sorry, infiniti is just a piece of shit, and i was a fan but
they are disappointing.

oyousef11 says:

have had a 2006 audi A6 for the past year, and the car has 130K mi and it
is smooth as butter! the seats havent ripped, everything is held together
like steel! car is quiet as shit. its just solid! infiniti does not make
solid vehicles. they are just over rated. the only thing i like about the
Gs and Zs (first gen) is the performance of the engine, it has potential
but costs alot of money for it to show full potential. We also have a 2013
chrysler 300c in the fam and it shits on the infiniti

oyousef11 says:

I have had a 2004 g35 coupe for the past 5 years..worst car i have ever
bought. The quality build is terrible. Interior wise, leather is cheap,
full of cheap plastic, electronics are crap, as the guy said panels are
cheap and come loose. this first gen of Gs just seems to break apart really
quickly. they get old fast. ride is uncomfortable, noisy and loud, car
bounces around on the road on every bump. engines burn oil and worst of ALL
the parts never get cheaper. clutch + flywheel 3200 at dealer

Justin Deleon says:

b/c thats where i found the issue after a head breaker i went through… it
was the fuse under the hood i guess i burnt the fuse when changing the
battery. take a look see if that helps im almost 100% sure its ur fuse
either under the hood or inside by the pedals

Justin Deleon says:

i had that occur when i first changed my battery on my coupe i thought it
was the ecu at first but it wasnt then i thought i had to change my radio
b/c its connected with the ac system and i thought i burnt the face module
but that wasnt it either especially after i took out the whole radio indash
apart. last thing i checked were the 2 fuse boxes the one inside the car
near the pedals check the radio fuses see if thats burnt if not check the
other fuse box under the hood look closely

Andrew Ngo says:

thoughts on an 07?

KingMcKenzie says:

Another thing i’ve noticed is that my AC/Heat & seat sensors have been out
of whack ever since i disconnected the battery when i had to change it. I
could be driving with no AC/Heat turned on and all of a sudden the heater
will be on full blast. An ECU reset is definitely in order. You ever come
across this personally or in forums?

KingMcKenzie says:

Haha, great vid! I share some of the same issues w/ my 2005 G35X! I laughed
when you were talking about the gas gauge! My gauge is off too, so what
i’ve been doing is using the counter and whenever it hits 450km I refill.
My 6disc CD player isnt working, so I ended up buying a fm transmitter, but
not a big fan of it. What are you using? cassette adapter? Im going to try
an ECU reset this wknd, the check engine light has been on for a while & so
has the tire pressure, but theres no real problem.

noel3286 says:

I couldnt agree with you more…forgot to mention that in the video

Alex Sterling says:

#1 most common issue: The bottom corners of the seats tear up like crazy.

noel3286 says:

I actually do a lot on my own in terms of fixing it. Brakes and oil changes
are real easy to do. Id say its pretty normal though if your getting
regular maintenance done. Any engine work or actual big issues will
probably be pricey but the good thing is it is still a Japanese import car
so there are plenty of aftermarket options out there that can keep you from
purchasing OEM parts.

noel3286 says:

My car is an 04…the door thing is real funny for a lot of people because
you can be on a completely level surface and the door still will close on
its own. Really weird. Like their is something pulling it..ill try and
catch a video of it next time

noel3286 says:

I would say that you should definitely look out for these issues on the
05’s….the only thing that is different is the brake wear issue was fixed
in the 05’s by replacing the brembos that the 03-04 have. Also make sure
you look into oil consumption with an 05-06 especially with higher mileage
because the REV-UP engine that was new for the 05’s were known to have that
issue. Besides that you should be fine.

Carlos swagg says:

great vid. really nice to know what to look out for. nothing seems too
major. looking for a 05+ so ill check out the oil consumption issue

killerkyle96 says:

for me, my issue is that my car sometimes will not unlock on either the
driver or passenger side.

feeblemind says:

sooo these problems present on 05s? looking at an 05 for pretty cheap.. My
buddy use to have the G37 and it hauled ass and was lot fun looking at a
G35 with low mileage but dont need problems lol.
