DGWhatsUp says:

How’s that new hose holding you up? Mine is cracked >.< I need a new one and I think it's the thing that's making my car want to shut off cuz it's just not breathing right, it shuts off on me too especially if I don't release the clutch pedal quick making the car breath a little bit more >.<..

Richard Gentry says:

I love this video go7roo7 my only suggestion is to try and get a mount for
your camera to attach to your head.

Something similar to this. That way you can free up both hands for your
video, and it won’t make everyone motion sick watching the lovely DIY video
you made. I can’t be the only one who feels nauseous from watching haha the
camera jumps around so much. It can also be used for driving events etc so
not a bad purchase for you IMO.

liz tirado says:

Thanks was helpfull a lot!

yungfresh2def24 says:

how did you get the bolt at the bottom rear out on the passenger side valve
cover? i cant get the socket to cover the entire bolt

Clayton Nelson says:

Did you ever find out which seal is used? My seals are leaking and I’ve
been exploring my options. $200+ is ridiculous for valve covers.

Mauricio Sarlat says:

I wonder if the valve cover gasket is damaged and have oil leaks can cause
misfire in the cylinders where the plugs are? there is even a bit of oil
inside the cylinders.

Geraldo P says:

Hey I finally got around to cleaning my throttle body and the car turned on
with perfect idle. Its been a week now and no issues what so ever. I have
a g35 but its the same as the 350z. What I did was I first took the
negative off the battery. Then I took off the intake and disconnected the
mass air flow sensor. From there I disconnected the plug that plugs into
the throttle body. Push the throttle body gently and open it but don’t
force it all the way to the max. Open it but don’t max it out and keep
pushing. Also when you close it, guide it with your finger. Don’t just
let it go and let it slam shut on its own. Reconnect your plug to the
throttle body, the mass airflow sensor and then the negative wire to the
battery. Note, I did this and didn’t have any issues. Be aware that each
car reacts differently to repairs and fixes.

what is it under i have a 04 and all i see is abreviations

Will moore says:

Update on what seals to use?

Sheena Alston says:

hey i just did all of what you just did and connect everything started her
up and it ran fine until i turned it off it was weak to start all the vdc
slip and engine light came back on 🙁 what do you think i did wrong plus it
smells like sumtn is burning but not gas help please any advice is
appreciate.

Scott Smith says:

Awesome vid man, very well done. I like how the plenum turned out the stock
one Is pretty ugly, keep up the good work.

Tai K says:

where did you get the printout from need it.

TopFlightWR says:

When you changed the camshaft sensor, did you have to reset the ECU or
clear the code to get the ck engine light off?

theArkit3cht says:

Oh, and the plenum turned out great. Thank wrinkle paint is sweet.

chaleboy60 says:

Do what’s up clean ur maf that’s what is Proably not letting ur car breath
same think happened to me and cleaned it works fine now

TheLt96 says:

Where can i find the manual that youre looking at !

eljefem90 says:

So why did you replaced the spark plugs tube seal? Im sorry

Geraldo P says:

Great video, helps avoid issues during the project. Have you ever cleaned
the throttle body on these cars? I have been avoiding it because many have
issues afterwards. How can you clean it and avoid the “re-learn” process?

theArkit3cht says:

You did a pretty great job reminding us not to leave things or mess up on
things along the way. I appreciated this video and am about to work on
changing my valve cover gaskets so this engine work is very similar, except
its positioning in the car. Thanks.

go7roo7 says:

I have seen that kit. It’s stupid overpriced. Each seal is about 3 dollars
at a dealer. Also you still have to rtv those seals in place, and if your
factory seals aren’t cracked or broken, you can do that without having to
buy the kit. These seals leak mostly from the outside lip so rtv fixes
that. But if you want to get those seals be my guest.

go7roo7 says:

No prob! Just make sure you take your time and label all the bolts, its
will save you time during the rebuild. Also dont forget to double check
your work and make sure you have the service manual for the Z, as well as
perform all the needed air relearn procedures. I added the FSM in the video
Description in case you or anyone needs it.

go7roo7 says:

I explain it starting at 21:13 😀

Ratish P says:

woah can I have the link plz? Its $500 almost for 2 new covers + gaskets

go7roo7 says:

Correct. To change your seals you have to widen the hole in the oil baffle
plate in each spark plug hole. Then seal the new seal with RTV gray. OR buy
new gaskets. Either will work, but the latter one is the option for those
who dont feel they can mod the head covers.

JaEValentino says:

Thanks a ton

go7roo7 says:

This is for the VQ35DE engine for the Z, the 04 G ( I am 98% sure) has the
same motor, so I would say yes. Regardless, you should acquire the fsm for
your G just to be sure! 😀

numair c says:

Is the process going to be similar for a 2004 G sedan? Thanks!

go7roo7 says:

you’re welcome!

Hadley Tham says:

thanks man, pro do this in next couple week. So annoying.

Hadley Tham says:

Did u find oil leak on the last plug. I got the same type of spark plug as
well. I was like doooh where the heck did this oil come from. everyone say
is the vale cover gasket first time changing the plugs at 107k.

Flysohighx21 says:

So from my understand you can either change the seals and keep your factory
valve cover or change the valve cover to a new one which then would have
new spark plug tube seals and gasket seals? Which then would fix the
problem?

go7roo7 says:

Update, took cyl 6 coil/plug out no oil at all after about 500+ miles. Hope
it helps!

go7roo7 says:

Hey, there are 2 types of seals in each of the valve covers. The valve
cover gasket ( runs the perimeter of the cover, and the spark plug tube
seal). Nissan engineers screwed us over in the case if the spark tube seal
leaks, one must buy an entirely new valve cover for the engine. What I did
is basically widen the diameter of the oil splash guard and removed the old
seal, cleaned it and applied RTV (gray) sealer on both sides and
re-attached it. I waited 25h to dry and reassembled. No oil 😀

go7roo7 says:

R&d won’t post from what Nissan they get those seals from, but I am
currently getting different deals from a buddy at a dealer to see which one
matches. When I find it I will post the info so people can get it at the
normal price.

go7roo7 says:

My oil leak was both in the valve cover gasket and the seal in the spark
plug tube in cyl 6 ( closest to driver). Nissan designed the valve cover
gasket to be fully replaced when the seals leak instead of simply replacing
the seals. I used a hole saw to widen the internal diameter of the inside
valve cover baffle plate (plastic) so I can take out the old seal and use
RTV (gray) engine sealer to seal the factory spark plug seal against the
valve cover. 500+ miles later no leak 😀

jason agulto says:

I want to do this how did you remove fuel line?

Hadley Tham says:

Hey bro so i found a NISSAN’S VQ35 VALVE COVER SEAL REFRESH – R&D Factory 6
spark plug grommets. – Nissan OEM Valve Cover Gaskets Both (right and
left). – NISSAN OEM PCV VALVE O-ring seal. $120

go7roo7 says:

1 hour in, spark plug sealer is holding like a champ, NO OIL!

doug card says:

hello go7roo7 i have a 04 350z and have had it for about a year or so now
and i was replacing the spark plugs and noticed that spark plugs
6/3(farthest from looking at the engine) had oil in both the spark plug
wells which lead me to this video.. from what im understanding on my
research is that the valve cover gasket is going bad which needs to be
replaced.. im just curious if this sounds right to you.. thank you for your
response ahead of time 🙂

go7roo7 says:

On the passanger side fuel rail, there is a connector (towards the
firewall) that is attached by 2 10mm bolts. Unscrew those ( fuel WILL COME
OUT so have a rag under it). I explain it at 24:39 ish area of the video!
Hope it helps you out!
