In this awesome STEP BY STEP video I teach you HOW OT REPLACE YOUR HYUNDAI CAR ANTENNA. This method also works on KIA cars too. I included the link above. No more searching the internet for a “universal shark fin antenna”. Use a genuine HYUNDAI product for your car. This same antenna cap works for both HYUNDAI and KIA. You will need a few tools in order to do this project successfully. You will need a small screw driver, tape, something to trim the inside plastic pieces of the antenna cap and some JB weld to seal the cap to the antenna base. I show you how to do each step. If you have any questions please leave your comments below and I will answer them. This is the only video on YOUTUBE showing you how to replace your HYUNDAI car antenna cap! Make sure you send this video to anyone out there who needs this done. YOU DO NOT NEED A NEW ANTENNA. Chances are you only need the antenna cap like I did.

Same thing just happened on my Elantra- and Hyudai wants to charge me for the entire unit. So- I'm going to try your fix. Hope it works. Thanks.
The link does not go to the original antenna cap on a Kona. It shows a shark fin. Don’t waste your time if you have a combo satellite/FM antenna. This one does not have a mast which is what I need.
Any idea where I can get one of these in silver for a Hyundai Elantra???
Someone stole my antenna cover off my 2020 kia optima and bent the bottom of the mounting unit and is not lying flat down on the hood. I did purchase the cover and glue, but the black bottom of the mount of the unit is lifted up like bent towards the way they pulled the antenna cover off. My radio is still working. Do you have any suggestions?
Will this part fit a 2016 Elantra as well?
Does this work for the Genesis?
I see your videos how to place the fin BUT how did you remove the cap of the antena of the Hyunday. I just got my car Hyunday accent and come with the black old fashion antena lol. Can you help me please. Thank you
where are you so you can do my car?
Where can i order just the cover? 2018 Hyundai Sonata Dealership wants to sell me the whole thing for 300.00
Hello sir..Can this cover work for a 2015 Hyundai Limited 2.0T with a Shark Fin Panel and it's a Panoramic roof top?
mine also, broke off at car wash!
Just do it right. Geesh.
Thanx for the info.Dealership wanted $280.
Hello sir. I have the antenna that has the actual shark fin or green fin sticking up and back. I loved this video as it was quite helpful, but I need to know where to find the right cover for my antenna. Can you help? Regards,
I have a '16 Sonata. I didn't have to do any of that stuff inside the cover. It set right back on flush with no problem. I just glued it up around the bottom edge and a drop on each screw threads… Gorilla glue. Time will tell. If it comes off, I'll have a go at the headliner.
what kind of tape did you use?
I'm going to attempt to try this myself, already have the antenna cover… it's universal,…lost in car wash as well…$800 at the dealership
THANK YOU!!! I lost my antena after a car wash as well! And it was the day before I was supposed to drive to IL from California. I had no idea what to do so I just put tape on it to protect it and hoped for the best. So far that’s what I’ve had on it for months. I’ve been waiting for a couple of months to find a solution, I’m so glad to have found this and that you made this video.
you must be the unluckiest guy in the world, amazing, they breakoff on both of your cars at a carwash, yea right, and I've never had one breakoff……….whoa baby, tell anybody anything just to get you you tube fame…………
neat complete job
What is I don’t have a plastic welder??
Another antenna BROKEN BY CAR WASH, and I have to post another comment. Stay away from car wash and tell your friends! Happened to me also, and I learned they had FINE PRINT that they were NOT RESPONSIBLE for this. CAR WASH KNOWS THEY DAMAGE CARS. Unbelievable scam targeting lazy people!
Would this work for a 2015 Hyundai Azera? The antenna has the fin sticking up an inch or so. And the roof is slightly rounded.
Would this work on a 2016 Elantra by any chance?
Thank you for posting this! Mine is still attached (knock on wood) but I am expecting it to come off at some point. I appreciate you showing us how to fix it without spending an arm and leg.
