Just got rid of a 2017 Optima because it had an oil consumption burning oil like crazy. Got rid of it and bought a 2012 Camry happily
I had a Hyundai and they wouldn't honor their 10 year warranty for a sludge problem, then they kicked the can down the road for my batter that died frequently. Horrible company, and waits at the dealership were super long just to talk to someone.

I prob should have bought a newer car I just put in about 3 thousand dollars into my 2005 honda civic ex coupe. But, its one of those things it just kept coming. Its hard to knos exactly when the best time to get a new uzed car. I'm hoping after this. I'll be good for at least a few more years. To be fair I was weak on following the manual. And most of it was over due maintenance. So, maybe I'm over reacting. I just dont want to get a new car during this time where prices are very high. It's not a buyers market. Right now. Maybe in 4 years. Things. Will look better.
All the crap Scotty talks when it comes to Hyundai/Kia, yea he definitely got paid for this.
A work colleague and I were in the same situation six months ago, we both needed a new car. He walk straight into a Hyundai dealer, bought himself a brand new mid-level Hyundai Kona. I suffered for nearly 6 weeks, trawling the used car market. I ended up nabbing a 2008 Lexus IS250 with 72,000 miles for less than HALF what he paid for his shitty Hyundai! There's nothing like a loser at work who can't stop babbling about his new Hyundai; then someone walks up and says "Hey is that your IS250? Nice car! How much was it?"
Have you ever seen two people shaking hands while tilting like on the Hyundai logo??
Kia will always make bad quality crappy cars. I wouldn't drive one even if you paid me to!
I had a 2019 optima and I hated it. The visibility through the windows made me almost run people over in parking lots. I could not see them. I took to parking in the very back of the lots to avoid hurting anyone. Traded it in for a Soul. Happy with the Soul. Stuck with it for quite awhile. But I live in a rural area in Nevada and all miles are highway miles. So far so good.
