Probably they installed aftermarket remote-starter

Steve Scott says:

Leave the end of your test light bent, it helps when you have hard to reach fuses that you have to get at from the side. E.g. BMW

Pablo says:

Thanks Paul ¡¡ =)

Mambre Khachatryan says:

Do you have ecu, pcm repair videos?

Heriberto Gomez says:

they don't use the car 850 running miles

Mambre Khachatryan says:

Thanks for the great video, this fall I'm starting advanced automotive electrical at my local community college to get back into working on cars for a living

Andrew W MacFadyen says:

Good basic fault finding that everybody no matter how much or how little you know about cars can learn from.
On some of the models of vehicles I work on the starter is mounted low down on the front of the engine exposed to salt spray, exactly this fault is the probably most common cause of a no-crank no-start. I know of a case where a roadside rescue driver mis-diagnosed an identical fault as a head gasket failure. Even without any tools just observing the brightnness of the lights and listening for for any clicking sounds made by the the starter relay and starter solenoid when trying to crank the engine can take you a long way to diagnosing a no-crank no-start.

Travelingman 1997 says:

Sorry Paul you have me confused on control side, power side and load side, it was hard to keep track with your live thoughts changing back and forth. But nevertheless thanks for the video, I still learnt about tracking corroded wires and connectors.

Joseph M says:

Can you do a no crank no start on a cadillac cts ? That would be a very educational and interesting video

Josh Benney says:

Paul, love the video and zoom in feature! I gained a in depth understanding of the relay system like how to test feed, load, control etc. I'm no wizard. But learning this stuff is like I'm back at school, lol! Thanks Paul for your instruction! Look forward to the next video 🙂

InsideOfMyOwnMind says:

I'm learning to appreciate the "do as I say…" teaching method. You and I went around on that issue recently but I get it now and this video reinforces it. It never hurts to point out the what if I'd done it that ways, it helps keep us sharp. I don't know how many S posts I've fixed on my own cars over the years but there's always a different way to look at it and thanks for that.

Frank L says:

Paul you are the man and I really enjoyed this video.  That being said I hate to say it but after working on junk cars in Ohio (salt state) for the last 45 years, when you first showed that connector at the S terminal and how crappy it looked, I would have started there.

Smitty Smithsonite says:

What a great picture to blow up and hang in your house, or in the classroom – the daddy-long-legs spider posing in the background of your test light probe, lol! 😀

I thought for sure that relay or the box connection was the culprit – it had connectivity issues written all over it! Goes to show, you never know what you'll find in this business – it's full of surprises, twists, and turns! Don't we all know it. 😉

Gotta get me one of them thar "pee-pee 4's" … 😀

Love the close-up box insert in the vid – great idea Paul – you're always thinkin'!

Seth Harrison says:

Yes danner that is a spider and it has been staring at you the whole time since we first saw the test light on pin lol Im sure he was just looking for a new home probably went home with you in your truck.

Ricardo Fleming says:

Ayyyy,Great Diagnosis,
