Thank you!!! I haven't officially fixed it but I put a piece of the broken plastic back where it was so at least the lights will turn off and my car won't die tonight! Woo!

Sara Gene says:

This video was such a big help. Thank you so much. For any of you out there who have a 3D printer, I went to Thingiverse and searched for "Hyundai Brake Switch" and a replacement part had already been designed. It took 14 minutes to print and worked like a champ.

Thelma Tucker says:

Just get under there where brake pedal is located and at the top of break pedal you will see a round disk that pushes a pin up into a small black shutoff box. If pin is broken off just a little that rounded disk on the side of the break pedal will not be able to push that pin up into the shutoff box and turn the back break lights off. Take a half inch or inch threaded screw and place it through the hole on the disk that is attached to top of break pedal put a nut on the underside of the screw to keep it secure. Now when you release the break ped the back break lights will turn off and no more dead battery. It works fine. Trust me I know.

Alfredo says:

Thank you! Literally fixed it in 3 mins with a screw. Had a dead battery because of this.

My brake lights have been playing up for a while and today they stayed on. I figured it had something to do with the pedal so I looked it up and here I am. I happened to have 2 nuts and a screw. Worked a treat. Thanks
