Hi I had the same issue I bought both speed sensor and install it my self I
drove the car for 2 to 3 days with no issue. Today the car went back the
way it was before the transmission won’t shift what else should I check?

Marilynn Hinman says:

This is very similar to what I have on my 2004 Kia Optima. I found both
sensors on eBay for $42 with free shipping! I ordered them on Thursday and
they got here on Monday. My speedometer was jumping and going to zero.
Should be an easy fix. Kia wanted $100 per sensor plus labor!

RatchetsAnd Wrenches says:

Do you have any codes? Hows the transmission oil? You probably need to take
it to a transmission shop. GL and thanks for watching.

bwb1231969 says:

Thanks a lot I would check in that and I would let you know I go

bwb1231969 says:

Yes I hav a code it’s p1529 p0705 the p1529 say check tcm for trouble

RatchetsAnd Wrenches says:

P0705 – Transmission Range Sensor Circuit Malfunction (PRNDL Input), does
the car drive fine when you disconnect the negative battery and reconnect
after 10minutes? If yes its likely its the transmission range switch!
Google about it and you’ll see where its located, try cleaning it first and
than maybe replace it but I cant guarantee it will solve your problem. I
think you can actually see it in my video, gl.

Great video! Will a bad speed sensor set a check engine light and is there
a way of testing the sensor to verify that it is bad? Thanks for the great
videos.

RatchetsAnd Wrenches says:

the conclusion to the other videos aswell.

Excelentes vídeos los que haces explicas las posibles causas y la solución,
excelente, el único detalle es que siempre me quedo con la duda si el
problema se resolvió o no:) pero igual buenos vídeos ayudan gracias por
hacerlos

SÓLO UN PEQUEÑISIMO DETALLE.

RatchetsAnd Wrenches says:

You usually get a cel with a bad speed sensor, but this car didnt have it
or maybe I didnt drive it around enough after I disconnected the battery
for other repairs. But as far as testing it, I am sure if you have the good
repair manual there will be a resistance spec you can check on them. GL
