Special Brake Tool or Brake Spring Tool- I was curious about this myself and didn’t see anyone answer. Checked Harbor Freight website. Their search tool is iffy at best. Search “3 Piece Brake Spring Pliers Kit” for $14.99 or there’s a slightly larger kit called “7 Piece Brake Tool Set” for $19.99.

What is the hub nut size on the rear hub of 2002 accent?

Ryan Walsh says:

Is this the same as a 2002 Hyundai Accent?

Michael Banks says:

Dude … you cut-out actually removing the drum .. WTF !

Chris Weis says:

is it just called a BRAKE SPRING TOOL?

Chris Weis says:

Before I get started what is the special break tool you used and where can I get one at? Thanks

Deafiasmother says:

IF you use needle nosed visegrips and grab the top spring in the middle hold your palm on the brake pad and use your fingers to pull the v.g. towards you and the spring pops right off and the same way when replacing it, i have a 2003 (mid.year) made in nov. the replacement pads are not exactly the same length but the width is same ,,,bring your old pads to the parts store.,,,,your video was helpful man,,,,

Awesome videos. I’ve rebuilt engines, replaced clutches, replaced transmissions, axles… you name it. But I’ve never replaced drum brakes on a car. Always had a bit of trepidation about it lol. Love these videos as they pertain exactly to my car.

Damien Austin says:

Man Drums look so much harder to do than disc… I watched a mechanic do disc. All he did was: wheel off > Unscrew Bolt / Nut thing > Flip Caliper > Pry out pads > put new pads in > Put down caliper > Re-Bolt > Wheel On > DONE

HondaHowTo1 says:

What did you want to see done with the e-brake cable?

Shawn McAllister says:

My drum breaks are backwards on my 2002 hyundia from what the video shows, also the video did not show what to do with the e break cable…..

HondaHowTo1 says:

I’m not sure, I’d imagine they’d be very similar though.

Kody Darlington says:

HondaHowTo1 says:
