I enjoyed your video. Awesome video. Thanks.

Ken Tomlin says:

The pads you took off didnt look very worn. How many miles was on them?

pat benison says:

I thought this was an awesome video. Took the laptop and had it right next to the car for reference. My only comment is on the self adjuster. I could not get the drum on first time because I had it too far out. I had to take it out and this time I pulled it all the way in. I realize it should have been out a little bit and I also realized it took me a few trips in reverse to get them adjusted but they eventually self adjusted correctly.

Thanks for the awesome video.

Pat

Great video, I will tackle my rear Hyundai accent brakes tomorrow thanks to you.

CruisinS430 says:

advance discount auto parts sells the tool for about 5 dollars

HondaHowTo1 says:

Oooh, ok. Yes I may do that. And the power steering fluid needs to be what ever Hyundai declares. It should say on the power steering fluid cap.

Ashraf Khalil says:

Thanks for your reply, I was referring to the Gas line if I have to clean the injectors, I am sorry it was not related to the brake job. If I have to change the power steering fluid in Elantra, do you think I can use any fluid or I have to use specific Elantra power steering fluid?
Thanks.

HondaHowTo1 says:

Sears, harbor freight, or eBay.

HondaHowTo1 says:

The line? The ebrake cable? what line?

HondaHowTo1 says:

That’s a good idea, I’ll keep it in mind. Thanks for commenting.

cold chris says:

thanks for the tutorial! were can I find the “special tool” for the hold down spring?

Ashraf Khalil says:

I would like to do this in my 2002 Elantra. You can make a vedio to show thesteps and how to locate the line. You do not have to take your car apart.
Thanks

Ashraf Khalil says:

Can you showa vedio of how to clean and replace fuild injector.
Thanks

HondaHowTo1 says:

Probably not, but your welcome, and thanks for watching and commenting.

Kody Darlington says:

This helped me service my 99 elantra an i just did my girlfriends 08 Kia Rio Lx today thanks alot, is this the same for a 2006 honda civic lx ?

HondaHowTo1 says:

It won’t weaken them.

HondaHowTo1 says:

The springs are very strong.

cgupfe says:

I noticed this as well. Scoring the spring with dykes could weaken the spring.

cgupfe says:

Great demonstration, I used this to replace 03 Accent, exactly the same brakes.

HondaHowTo1 says:

The springs are tough.

rhpham2 says:

How come the dykes dont cut the springs?
