Thanks man
im putting up a real quick video later today to answer your question!
I have a quality brand new kenwood head unit with 3 rca outputs
(front/rear/sub). If I could find the stock amp I will just use the
existing speaker wires since there only getting 75watts rms with crossover
module from after market amp. If your using and amp, where did you put the
12volt power wire from your engine bay through the fire wall? I can’t find
a plug or a place to drill safely. How did you do it
Where is the stock amp located? I removed the passenger side trunk liner
and there only the 12v accessory plug… which I almost broke.is under the
dash or driver seat or did I just not pull enough trunk liner back to fully
see it. I put new low wattage mbquart components in the doors but there not
efficient (86.4db) I want to amplify highs/mid/sub but I have to find the
stock amp
It has a stock amplifier. If you’re having issues with sound quality id
suggest running the cable directly to your head unit if it has enough
power. When I put front speakers in my door I had to install an amplifier
in the trunk because my headunit could not supply enough power.
Does the 2005 hyundai sonata have a stock amplifier with the 6 speaker
system or does it run off the head unit? Because I swear there an inline
filter or equalizer making my speakers sound flat and un exciting. They
sound better with after market HU but still very flat
Getting the radio out is easy. You just pop the trim around it, disconnect
the power packs and unscrew (4) screws holding the original piece of crap
in there. I will say, when I did mine, the bottom screw on the driver side
was stuck in there. I had to literally rip the old unit out. Half way
through it just came loose finally and unscrewed. Then connect all the wire
harness adaptor bundle together and thur ya go..
hey man does this works on a sonata 2004 man ??? and thanks for the video
I haven’t seen the whole video, but I saved a lot of time by pulling the
mesh speaker guard things straight out of the self, replaced the speakers
and just glued the mesh back down. note this was the lazy way, it was
pretty easy but I warn you to be carful because the first guard I pulled up
I snapped one of the corners.
can you make a video showing how to get the radio out
could you show how to get the radio out?
I am going to try this by myself, because I am very stubborn.
Hey man, this video is priceless. Do you think you might ever install an
amp in this Sonata? I want to install a single in mine, but I found out I
have a factory amp and now I’m just confused.
good job!
sorry I haven’t checked youtube in a while. If you still want a video on
how to get the radio out let me know.
I would love to see the video about door speakers, I’m going to pick some
up tomorrow, a video on how to install an amp and sub would be nice since
I’ve had one sitting in my trunk for about three weeks now not hooked up.
Can this apply for a 05 hyundai elantra?
for sure man it took e forever replace them haha
sounds like too much work for replacing rear speakers bro. im sorry you had
to go through all this..lol i was looking into doing this for my car but
after seeing this video i have decided to pay a local business 65 dollars
to do it. thank you! your video was very helpful
They made this model from 2002-2005 so yes, you’re in luck! Don’t forget to
subscribe I will be doing some door speakers sometime this summer.
sorry no amp for me, I need the room for my golf clubs 🙂
