Blend with what?
Yes…..But will it blend
We also offer a race intercooler for these cars, which is much larger!
Thats a tiny intercooler
No, you can keep your stock radiator. But we wanted to show the Genesis with all of our products installed. 🙂
is necessary to change the radiator?
Just 190 WHP??? Really?! :O
and we’re going to unplug this guy…
move this guy..
pull this guy out…
see this guy…
this guy… that guy… this guy… this guy will pop right off..
is there a kit like this for the veloster t
dasspr,
This older video shows how to install multiple Mishimoto parts on the 2010-2011 Genesis, so the installation may involve more than you’re used to. Certainly if you can do it with removing less, then remove less I say 🙂
HD, you’re not alone in that one, keep your eyes peeled in the near future 😉
ive installed 3 FMIC kits on genesis and ive never had to remove the radiator or remove its components like in this vid. after removing the corner supports, and the oem intercooler which acts as a radiator bottom support the radiator just moves out of the way! then the fmic pipes slide into place behind wherever they need to be with plenty of space to play with
Can I use a aftermarket intake kit and a forge bov with this kit?
will do
Hi there – We are actually in the R&D phase for both of these products. If all goes well, we could be looking at a release date later this year! -Brian
you guys should either make a FMIC kit or top mount kit for the 02-07 WRX and STIs i know i would buy one and i don’t think im alone on that one.
Hi Roberto – You’re correct, this is for 2010-2011. We’re in the R&D process for the 2012+ Genesis products so keep an eye out for that before the end of the year. Thanks! Brian
i have the 2013 genesis 2.0t and well has the “blow off vale and the hose that go to the intank and i took it off and then a month later the check engine light turn on and it was the by pass vale aka factory blow of valve so the car i guess it needs that hose to the intank so this for the 2013 is not good and plus you need a blow of valve
Dude, I’d rather buy a 98 porsche. I don’t wanna have to deal with this cheap korean immitation vehicle and engine. You would have to have parts from other makes into that car… not even worth it. Waste of time and money.Every Hyundai I have delt with, seen, driven. It’s not my type of car. You should go with a Getrag tranny at least. Sorry if i offended you dude.
@Devojackson – Neither will have a benefit over the other and the intercooler piping will have to be modified no matter what. Thanks -Brian
i have the same problem witht the hks bov kit i wasnt sure if it would be better to cut the intercooler pipe and weld it or just put a coupling on it
Hi there- This will not fit with our kit, the intercooler piping will have to be modified.
Its the bov kit with the direct fit pipe that comes welded
Hi there… I wanted to get some information first to better answer you question. Do you have the BOV kit that includes a direct fit pipe with the flange already welded to it or do you have the universal BOV kit that is not direct fit for the genesis?
i have the hks sqv4 bov kit would i have to cut the pipe to instal it and would i have to get a special flange for it?
Hi, thanks for the feedback! We are aware that there is some conversation about our street intercooler kit, and I’d like to clear up any inconsistencies. Our Genesis intercooler kit with Z-Line intercooler made 3whp and 4.5wtq over the stock intercooler setup. This kit was designed for vehicles with stock to Stage 1 power. We currently have a race intercooler in development that we’ve tested on the highest HP Genesis in America with great results. Stay tuned 🙂 – Brian
Awesome company, awesome product…. Too bad the design is grossly flawed. This system is actually more inefficient then the stock intercooler due to massive heatsoak. Cmon Mishimoto, wtf were you thinking?? We want better!
Hi.. If you are keeping the stock rad, it’s easiest to install the two supplied brackets by taking the radiator out (brackets can be seen around 7:57). If you have a second set of hands, it is possible to lift and hold the stock radiator up while someone installs the brackets from below. This makes it so you do not have to drain the coolant. Two ways to do it, just depends on if you have help or not. -Brian
Do you need to take the rad out to do the inter cooler if you’re using the stock rad?
5 Years ago I would NEVER believe it would be cool to fix up your Hyundai LoL.
I’m looking to buying this intercooler kit, but i don’t want the radiator. I’m pretty sure i don’t need to, but i’m going to ask any ways. Do i have to undo the radiator and remove the stock intercooler ?
Yes you can! -Julia
Hi can you send us an e-mail to sales [at] mishimoto [dot] com with a picture of the issue? I was there on installation day and it wasn’t a problem for us but we’d like to look into it if you say it is not fitting. -Julia
HEY HOW DID YOU INSTALL THE COOLANT CATCH TANK, IT DOESN’T FIT. I NOTICED YOU HAVING ISSUES GETTING IT BACK IN?
No. There is not enough room for the coolant reservoir because it is moved too far back, and the bottom brackets had to be hacked up because they won’t fit around the charge pipes
Working on it!
– The radiator bolts directly in. The video above shows that. What are you referring to?
