Driving my first Kia- Stinger GT2. Absolutely love it! However, it will probably be my first and last Kia due to crappy customer service here in U.S.

Hyundai got its start with computers

On the nose again Scotty, I had a 94 Pathfinder with 263,000 trouble free miles.

Jimmy Summers says:

Scotty, I am looking at a 2015 Subaru Legacy with a PZEV 4-Cylinder boxer engine with 47k miles. What are the changes for a PZEV engine? What difference can I expect with performance and maintenance over the life of the car?

R Verro says:

When a pile of junk company is going to make better cars than ours, it makes you wonder, how long, North American companies, were allowed to screw us, for so long ? I see ! Only the "Elite" will be allowed to eat caviar while us, the regular Joe's, will be thankful to have bread on the table. It sounds like the "Mad Max" era is at our doors.

Thinkpad Fan says:

It helps that hyundai hq is located in South Korea that has numerous semiconductor manufacturing companies. You probably heard of this little south korean company called Samsung lol

Hyundai are crap, their chips will be crap too.

Allen Tokyokawa says:

LMFAO SCOTTY GET REAL, HYUNDIA IS GARBAGE AND WILL NEVER EVER DOMINATE 3ENGINE FIRES 3BEARING PROBLEMS

Michael Parry says:

Scotty, I just hope they make their 'chips' better than they make their engines. If the quality control is as bad with their metals they use for engine parts as the new chips new buyers will be in trouble. Hundai/Kia has lost in the quality control movement. My 2009 Hundai Sonata was a great well built car. My new 2011 Hundai Elantra was very stylish, but I could see some of the quality was failing. Especially the paint. My new 2015 Kia Sportage seemed to be a good car, but when we took it in to the dealer in 2018 for a "software update" at 32,000 miles and also reported a very slight noise on engine startup it never came back. It was one of the million that had an engine recall. After 3 months our engine was not even on the boat. The dealer was good enough to buy our car at a large loss to us. We used that money and added $8,000 to purchase a 2015 Toyota Rav4 with 39,000 miles. The loss was hard, but the Toyota is great. I wish I had done it at first. It has been noted that Hundai/Kia replacement engines are also failing. So, they may make the chips, but plan on going to the dealer often for repairs. I have owned three, but will not own another again.

Louis Brown says:

Hyundai is not making their own chips, they are designing their own chips. The shortage is with fab capacity, not design. They can design all they want with no place to fab them.

Nathan Hanus says:

One of the reason’s they can keep pricing down, If you can build it yourself it will be cheaper if you have the scale.

Phineas T Birdpocket says:

I’ll still never buy another Hyundai again. Piston slap at 55k miles.

JRobert111111 says:

I'll walk before driving another Hyundai product ever again.
