DIY: How to repair a broken gas cover on your car (Hyundai Sonata 2016)

Gas cover was pried off and retaining pin was broken. Gas was gone also. I turned on the ignition and the dashboard said: “Range 4 miles”! LOL. Lucky I limped it enough to get to a gas station just in time. Hypermiling techniques were actually useful this time!

Very cool, thanks! I'm surprised that it adhered so well and was so rigid but nicely done! Sorry to hear that some low-life damaged your car and stole your gas… hope you don't have any more troubles! Just FYI, you can buy a key-locking gas cap at most auto stores and sometimes even Walmart!

TRY to HELP you says:

Get urself a locking gas cap! Good 10 bucks or so. Walmart has em. puts another layer between the thief and ur gas. After that, get an EV! 🙂
