my soviet made toilet did that so my wife was so pised off she took a
sledge hammer and broke the tank!

GoaPrince says:

i had the same problem after installing a new flush, tried everything and
nothing worked untill i rememberd i also replaced the pipe going to my
tank, it was an old pipe that i replaced with a “flexible”. turned out that
when i installed the flexible it got a bit contorted, by simple adjusting
the flexible so it was nice and straight the vibrating was gone

re tard says:

that sounded like someone dragging a wooden chair across a lenoleum floor.
that’s probably just the float valve which is an easy fix.

Toronto Maple Leafer says:

I had the most terrifying night of my life due to my toilet. A few years
ago, around 11:30 at night, we hear this HORRIBLE noise. It sounded like a
fog horn just went off inside our house. The whole house was vibrating to
the point that pictures on the wall were tilting. We didn’t know WTF was
going on. We thought our house was literally tearing itself apart. Or the
water heater was about to explode. Did that ever 2 minutes. Turns out the
flapper valve was warped, cause ALL the pipes to vibrate.

shollocks says:

Great helpful video. Thanks. What music is playing in the background
though. Love it…

Goregoon says:

Hope it works out for you, thanks for checking it out.

falaqdad15 says:

nice toilet ! what make/model?

Jenny Rose says:

I suffered 2 years of that dreadful noise coming from the tenant upstairs
because he denied it was his property the noise was coming from and the
landlord refused to do anything about it. It finally stopped today.

AnnaLytical says:

I get that noise when I use the hot water in the bathroom sometimes. It’s
just the one in the sink and only when I turn it on a little. Scares the
crap out of the cats!

Goregoon says:

Pretty wild sound eh? All that noise over a little flapper. LoL

travelsonic says:

I remember almost 7 – 9 years ago when I was but a young young boy (I’m
still young, but whatever), I would be falling asleep when this sound –
almost like somebody was tapping on a metal pipe with a hammer – would
occur every 10 minutes. It would either start off quiet and slow, speeding
up and getting louder until it stopped, or just went on loudly for a few
moments. Scared the living hell out of me. Didn’t help that it was coming
from the maze of pipes in the room right below my room.

diamondd83 says:

We r experiencing this prob now, my dad will get to it, but I had to
research this, glad u made a video

Goregoon says:

Well, now soon you’ll know how to fix it my friend. Part 2 and 3 are edited
but I still need to render them. I’ll do that tonight as it takes an hour
and a half each to render and while it renders it sucks up most of my
computer resources. I use my computer as my entertainment center so I do
the rendering when I have done with my movies, shows, games and such. I
really gotta work on my how 2’s, they will get better as time goes by.
Thanks for hanging around!!

Goregoon says:

@travelsonic Scares the living hell outa me and I’m almost 46 LoL, It’s
quite the sound, and it carries through the whole house. It’s also one of
those things that need to get fixed as it has been known to vibrate the
solder loose on your piping and spring leaks. Thanks for dropping by!

Goregoon says:

Sorry I didn’t see this comment 9 months ago… To tell you the truth… I
haven’t the foggiest idea what the make/model is. Next time I have a “seat”
I’ll look under the tank lid (I think they mark the info inside the tank.
Thanks for dropping by, apologies again.

HardlineFeminist says:

Of course it’s a WATER HAMMER, you dumbed-down worthless male jackasses, I
should know, since I had this exact violent air/water mix spewing from the
faucet at my beach condo. The 45 year veteran plumber, (who charged me
$235.00 an hour!) confirmed what I had was a ‘Water Hammer’ and after I
showed him this video, he said my issue is identical. The solution was a 99
cent rubber gasket fitted into my Delta faucet, the one that was in there
was all corroded by residue and gunk from the hard-water.

Helena E says:

Thank you, your video gave me the confidence to change the inside of my
tank! It felt good to get-it-done!

Goregoon says:

You probably have a washer that’s got a chuck hangin off it. The water goes
slow and vibrates it and it caries through the house. Fast wooshes by it to
fast to get it started. Who knows, but that tap is the one to hit. As you
know, I ain’t a plumber (though I do have quite the plumbers crack) LoL
