hey what fuses would i look at 1st before i change the blower i have a 98
cadillac deville and i dont see any kind of fuse for the blower motor
i kind of have similar problem, the blower in my silverado will work while
im moving but not at idle. any ideas?
i need your help or opinion, i replaced my blower motor and resistor but my
fan still works intermittently. The fan works fine but after driving for a
few minutes, air stops coming out of my vents. what could be the issue?

How do you tell if those gray metal covered fuses are bad? You cant see the
fuse through the casing. Would a multimeter test work?

wires coming out and all but can’t find it.

I have 01 chevy cavalier when I have the a/c on odors or smells will come
in trough the vents. example if a disel truck is in front of me I can smell
the diesel odor. even though I have the a/c on the air circulation switch.
What can be causing this problem thanks for your help in advance.

i saw your video on replacing a gm blower motor.
i have a 2008 tahoe with climate control. the blower stops on a hot day.
this model uses a fan controller instead of a resistor pack.
i replaced this module and the fans still stops after awhile on all speed
settings on a hot day.
the voltage on the black (return) wire to the blower increases from about
11v to 3v when the blower stops. the red 12v wire remains at 12v.
if i disconnect the black wire from the module and ground it right after a
failure, the fan runs at high speed.
it acts like the fan control module is getting hot and causing the return
voltage to increase.
it is very hot in the plenum where the module resides. there is no other
control mechanism other than the blower and the controller which connect
together electrically.
Hello there Scotty. I have a 01 Nissan Maxima. My air will come on, going
up to full blast on its own then after a short amount of time, it just
shuts off. I turn it back on and the air won’t blow at all but the panel is
lit up. I had the compressor tested and it was said to be good by a
mechanic. They said it was the control panel. So I changed that…same
issue. Will I have to change the blower motor and resister or could it
possibly be just the cabin filter?
Hello Scotty, I have a 2003 Hummer H2 and my heater doesn’t want to
function when I turn it on, it doesn’t blow any heat or any cool air at
all. The head unit turns on but when I try to turn the fan speed up, it
doesn’t blow at all. I know how to locate the blower motor and resistor, I
just need your advise on what is going on here?

Disappointed. This is not a how to. It doesn’t show any step by step
disassemble and reassemble.
Any ideas on why my fan doesnt work on the 5th power setting but it does on

Scotty, I have a 1999 pontiac grand prix, my blower motor has started to
screech when i hit bumps/ or run it for a couple minutes. my simple fix was
to turn the air off then back on and it would work for another few minutes.
i am finally ready to replace what is broken. i am pretty sure by this
video it is the blower motor assembly i was just querying if the directions
would be the same for my vehicle?

hello i just installed a new blower motor recently and it doesnt work.i
tried testing by connecting it to the battery to the power and
ground.theres 3 terminals thoe power signal and ground.when i test it it
dident work.it there certian blower motor that you cant test??please help

I have a Toyota Prius from 2001, my ac stopped working a while back and
after braking suddenly it started working again. Sometimes while driving,
it would turn on and off, but yesterday I opened the glove compartment and
closed it again and the ac turned of and stayed off. Would it be the blower
motor?
Scotty- what was that test light you were using? I have dozens of
multimeters and test lights of all sorts, but this one looked really great,
as it seemed to have a penetrating probe, the ability to verify hot and
ground, and a good light and beep. Who makes it? Thanks-
Hey! Ive got a 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix GT. Started it up and turned on the
heat and i had smoke coming out of the middle vent. Only lasted about 30
seconds tops. Smelled like burnt plastic. Now I cannot get air coming from
my vents… AC or Heat. Any advice would be helpful to find the problem!

I need help! I have an odd vibration type noise coming from what appears to
be the blower motor.
I have a 2006 Chrysler 300 Touring and found the blower fan located behind
the glove box and want to fix it/replace it if need be.
(Side note – when I looked under the hood I found the air filter hose
disconnected from the black box and reattached it although I don’t know if
it’s related – but the noise is definitely coming from only one place and
that’s the fan/blower motor)
Do you have any advice?
Is this an easy fix?
Do I need to replace it?
If I replace it what else should I replace along with it? (I saw you
mentioned replacing the resistor in addition)

so my car i turn on the ac or the heater and it wont work and its a chevy
tracker 2000 would it be the same way this way?? lol ooh and how would you
know when you have to change the egr valve i just got it out and clean it
but i dont know if i needed to get a new one or not
my blower motor stopped working a few days ago. (that’s a death sentence
down here in Florida this time of year). It was replaced 2 years ago so I
don’t think it should be bad already but i checked under the glove box to
see whats up. I unplugged the connector coming from the blower motor and
noticed the plastic case housing the connector was burnt on the ground wire
side. all the fuses seem fine, im just wondering what caused that to
happen. I still haven’t tested the blower motor via battery but i will when
i get time..

suggest looking at relays? I have checked the fuses?
the orig module + 2 perhaps, Chinese replacements had the same symptom. i
took the blower out and watched it spin. it seems to have some sticking
points, like jerking speeds, but runs at full speed for awhile. there are
no burned wires so i have ordered a new delco blower. there is also a speed
control input to the control module. the voltage seems to vary from almost
12 to about 1v. i wonder if the control for this input could be the
problem?
