How do i get one of these regulators?
Love it!
Good video man real informative!
@ILLTOWN420 right now I have 6. I need to run 3 more though.
@blistic3000 really? I guess it’s a common thing that they don’t like
supporting more than 2 alts on a single regulator then.
NICE I WAS ALWAYS CONFUSED ABOUT THEM THINGS THX
What are you talking about man? You obviously have your soldered
connections protected under the etape… 😉
Quick question dude. Looking at getting one of these and im finding ones
tha say IGN,NEG,FLD. Would this type still work in your case? As there isnt
a “+” terminal on the regulator(unless it is actually the IGN post) I only
have one alternator so thought it would hae to be my ignition wire that
actually runs to the regulator. Thanks dude.
thats insain 6 runs!!!!! and you need 9?!?!?!? that run will be as thick as
my neck!! amazing work bro keep it up
cant wait for SBN2012!!!
can this regulator be used on alts thats not from excessive amp alts?
@Owners1 oh ok so how many runs of 1/0 do you use?
nice video… so your circuit breaker is what turns yours on?? nice. i have
the same regulator im just using a relay that switches on with the car.
sweet 4g to the regulator too 🙂
lookin good
@a21bravo no less then 8 awg even in a short run IMO- has to deal with the
amount of field current…otherwise you get the random surging and voltage
hops up and down within a full 1V range. Most people blame their alts and
they just hooked up their regulator incorrectly
almost there !!
I had the same problem with my quad alts I had to rum two my self
That will work. What it means by IGN is if you want it to automatically
start whenever the engine starts. For instance, if you hooked up your 12v
straight to it, it would always be on and your batteries would be dead in 1
day. I have a switch that controls mine for the IGN part so that doesn’t
happen. You need to find a 12v ignition source and tap into that for the
IGN part of the regulator. Other than that, make sure your alt is
externally regulated and your good to go!
Awesome thank you for the help!
@Owners1 yea they dont have big one for four yet
@UnderLoK uhhh.. yeah bro you’re right. sure thing 😀
whats the brand of external that your running?
I have a old regulator if you need it. only used it for a short time bro!
same transpo 911 unit, and they are known for going bad even with a single
alt.
@ralphlu2007 no problem. glad I could help at least one person
@a21bravo thanks. but yeah, I use the circuit breaker. I tried running a
conventional switch and it was causing a bunch of trouble for me. I would
love to use a relay like that but I literally get the worst gas mileage on
earth with all 4 alts on so it’s like a gas mileage switch for me lol
its the transpro 9110-02R that i was looking at getting. Just says in
description IGN,NEG,FLD. Looks exactly like the one you have on your H2.
Was just wanting to know really if it can still be wired up like you have
in your H2 or if the Transpro has to be wired up to the main IGN wire.
Thanks again bro for the help
