So the diff drop allows me to raise the front from 23.5 to a higher desired level? Just curious and if I do
that what can I do for the rear? Thanks

Are your kits now updated so you don't have to grind anything? And collars to fill in the area where the crossmember once was? You won't be able to torque the two top bolts down without cross support in that area.

Hey brother, I ran into a little issue with the diff drop and wanted to make a suggestion. When the rear brace is dropped down, it really needs some sleeves to run inside to help compress the metal outward. The issue is when you tighten down the brackets you sent, it will actually compress that brace since it is no longer supported inside. I hope that makes sense. The fix is some sleeves for the bolts to run through. I found over 3k miles, the drop brackets kept loosening up. Lock tight is not a fix, what was happening was the upper portion of the diff brace was pinching inwards as the car was driven. Retightening the bolts only made it compress in more. When I went to remove the diff drop, it had compressed in so far that I used a brake pad spreader to widen out the brace again. Easy fix but wanted to share my experience and suggestion. Thanks as always for continuing the progress for these awesome vehicles!

Appreciate the detailed video. Lots of posts on hummerforums and other videos here make it seem like the front diff bushing replacement process is pretty difficult without a hydraulic press but you didn't seem to have any issues whatsoever with removal and reinstall. I've got the replacement OEM bushing, the drill, and a hackzall but until now, I've been under the impression that I have to find a shop to press the old one out and the new one in for me. I'd rather not pay to have that done if I can do it in my garage with what I've got. Any thoughts or words of wisdom for the DIY route?

dude you are awesome, I was just thinking we needed an option for a diff drop but there isn't a lot of folks out there like you putting in the R&D like you have. I am currently at 23.5" and really been so tempted to go up to the 24.5 but the stress on the CV angle has kept me from doing so. I imagine a 1" drop on the diff would relate to being able to crank the key up another 1"? Either way, I am ordering this and the poly bushings today. I don't know how I haven't come across your site before, it is my new favorite. So many great options on there to spec out our h3's. Thanks so much for keeping these awesome vehicles relevant.

So I looked at adding that cross member to my Colorado. It sure seemed like it would reduce the ground clearance.

Derek Turner says:

Ingenious man! Sorry for the mud!

Michael Mincey says:

How about a Colorado/Canyon H3 front suspension swap?
