Thank YOU ..I just bought a 66 Riviera and the pully is just slightly
bent..do I have to take off the hole power steering pump to replace the
pulley ???
yeah….50 dollar mistake for me, stuck a screwdriver in one of the holes,
bent the plastic pulley and buggered the inside a little. kit isn’t as easy
as I thought. I put the bolt down, then snugged the nut up, and when I
turned….the shaft spun after tightening it a lil bit…use some lube in
there, maybe that helps. oh…and don’t pound it on the a hammer, also
stupid….
you the man!!!!! been slammin on mine for 2 days with a sledge lol youtube
first video took me 5 mins since i knew what to do with the tool
hahahahahahahaha so thats what the hell that bolt is for didnt see the
threads on the pump shaft thx man 50 dollar tool rental thats it…..
Thanks brother. I appreciate the tip, helped me a bunch. Even if I did have
to wait for my fiancee to drive me to the autoparts store to buy the pulley
puller since I had my vehicle disassembled already.
Emily Kirwan: Why in the world are you making such a rude comment about
someone who took time and effort to put a helpful video up here, probably
saving a lot of folks time and money? Think about how you want to treat
people, & what kind of person you want to be. I hope it’s not the kind to
post comments like that. And thank you hpaiz69, for putting this video up.
We got a new pulley for our Cutlass Surpreme, because one night the Pulley
fell off of it’s center piece. The center piece is still on the pump and we
don’t know if we should take that part off or try to to put it back on. Any
thoughts?
Do you happen to know anything about where I could find the brackets needed
to mount a Power Steering pump to my straight six 1982 GMC S1500? I’m all
the way out in Hawaii and I’m having no luck ordering them through
O’rielleys or NAPA. Thanks
I used the 3 jaw puller on mine and now am looking for a new pulley. The
belt squeals way too loud and I can’t drive a truck without power steering.
Should have watched this video before. Off to the junkyard or parts store I
go.
Thanks for taking the time to so show how to make a cheap installer. Glad
it isn’t long winded as some other posters make them.

SLOW DOWN!
Look on Ebay, send me a picture of what you need. you may also look at
wrecking yards/Junk yards. and let me know.
The bolt will simply stop turning, you’ll know. you’ll see the shaft and
pully flush as well.
what do you mean? Meth man…
How do you get a pump pulley off?
How do you prevent from tightening the pulley too tight on the shaft?
thankyou very much you just saved me some time and money
all you need is a power steering pump pulley puller
This reminds me of a cooking show

was looking for.
