That’s right, especially with Dodge products going back to year, near
2,000, when NONE of their vehicles are/were worth a damn.
I’m surprised Dodge is still in business, …Chrysler that is..
Christ would not approve of being pissed off at your fellow man. Instead,
you give him a blessing and wash his feet. I heard Jesus had a thing for
feet. And not just ladies’ feet.
Holy shit, I have found my goddamned long lost twin brother. Great fix. The
only place I think you fucked up is actually pulling the dash instead of
finding some place to cut an access hole (when you’re done with the repair,
you can call it a speed hole).
@drmusic4771 Yep that’s exactly it. It may be different depending on how
your plenum is setup, but the door is just like a little flapper and it
swaps between two sides of the plenum. In between full to one side and full
to the other is the actual blending of air.
If it’s a beater just cut a D into the bottom of the box, open it like a
door and you can flip the blend door back and forth with a finger, push it
closed and it’ll seal pretty well (you can even throw some tape on it and
leave it hot all winter) without even pulling the the dash! You can also
bash a hole through it from the gloxe box with a BFH,
@ozmedia I noticed on my Dodge Caravan 2007 3.3 the flap door dont make the
usual noise and then No heat is coming out for a few months now. Just
curious if you know of the location of the “Blend flapdoor” on my vehicle?
If i knew where it is ,with out messing up the air bag system , i would try
your theory or tapeing or even silicon glue to have heat all winter. Also,
can a faulty blower resistor be the cause of any blend door failure. Thanks
,and if you have any suggestions ,would be helpfull.
silly me…I’d always thought there was some kind of actual thermostatic
temp control that would keep the A/C compressor running for longer cycles
when needed, but…apparently not? So we just mix constantly-heated and
constantly-cooled air in the proportions we want? Assuming that’s the same
system in fancier cars with digital temp controls, well…I gotta laugh at
the low-tech scene that’s behind the curtain. Wait, though, some cars have
heater-control valves, too, right?
@larryo340 I agree that’s what I am getting ready to do on my 94 intrepid
with 175,000 miles on it. So do u have to have the door closed to have heat
on the actuator and open for air conditioning ??????????????
You will need a small 1/4 ratchet and 5.5mm socket!! and again i say small
ratchet!! I was also told 1,000 fix. With those 2 simple tools and
determination you will beable to fix it under 30 min.
Because there’s nothing wrong with the blend door, there was something
wrong with the blend door servo controller, which was a $200 bag of worms
that I didn’t really want to fuck with.
@drmusic4771 I have no idea on which way the door needs to be, but I’m sure
if you check some online Chrysler forums you should be able to find the
answer. Maybe even a google search will help.
lol awesome. does that door also push air to the defrost on and off?
THAT is great! LOL

It would help if he told us what kind of car this was.
Good shit bro, if your a mechanic I hope your customer never sees this,
hell what am I say, fucking tard wouldn’t know how to navigate the
interweb…

Haha! Nice one! Some guy told me it was going to cost over 500 dollars to
replace my actuator. Screw that.

it! Seems legit
You are a God amongst man. I salute you.

Hey, as long as you have heat who cares how you have to turn it on

Now *that’s* AI
You went that far. Why not do another 5 minutes and change the blend door.
JACKWAGON.

@larryo340 ok thanks
hahaha, I love it! I was thinking to do something like that to my blend
door.

Lol!
Using the Big G word in your title pissed me off. Who cares what you know
when you are as rude and low life as you appear.
