Is there a difference to doing the front pads and rotors or similar to this?

Jared Edmondson says:

So I’m replacing the rotors on my in-laws 06 H3 but my new rotor is not going on as easy as your video is showing what am I doing wrong?

Fred Stokley says:

Once again, as I have posted this on other videos that never mention an important step in returning the piston to the fully retracted position, remove the brake fluid reservoir cap so the fluid has a place to go. The first thing to do when releasing pressure on the brake caliber before you start prying is to remove the cap off the brake fluid reservoir, it will make depressing that caliber a whole lot simpler, that fluid hast to go somewhere when you are pushing those calibers back in, especially when you use a clamp or tool to depress the piston the the fully retracted position. Hope this helps as I have never seen it mentioned on any brake replacement. Of course, if the pads are newer and not really needing replacement, then you might push them back far enough without doing this, but with worn pads, it makes the depressing of the caliber pistons much easier, and you do not take the chance of blowing a seal or line by applying to much pressure on the system. Doing so will not affect the brake lines in any way that would require you to bleed the brake system afterwords.
