I just called my local tint shop to get a quote on tinting just 1 window,
the rear window of a 2011 toyota yaris, and he quoted me a price of $80 so
I said no thank you and hung up the phone, so now I guess im gonna do it
myself, I womder what he would have charged me to do the whole car $500?
Screw that I got 2 hands ill do it myself

Hey, I bought this from Autozone
i wish it was really that easy.
Window tinting is not hard….but, keep the film WET. And when it starts to
dry a little bit, wet it some more. You honestly cannot make it too wet.
Also, cleanliness is a must. Use a SHARP blade, and if it starts to catch
the film at all while cutting it, change it to a new one.
I’ts actually the best howto I found.

You could but you will be left with a white ghost-like ring.. Tint needs at
leat 2 weeks- 1 month to fully cure.. If it does not go away then you
should claim warranty on you film for a bad install..
I have air and water bubbles after my tints… could I just pop them with a
sharp needle? Any help? Thanks.

nah, air bubbles arent always air, and even if they are.. the surrounding
tint is already too tacked to the window.

Your a twat looking for money. Tinting isnt that hard, the first time i
done it i done a perfect job.
I been tenting for 6 months….dish detergent works but liquid clothes
detergent works best…..what a shop charge i charge 75% less with that
being said get your tent holla at me & my fee is $35
what percent of tint was that

note: when you cut and over lap strip on back windows it looks like garbage
cause you see darker lines along the back of the window.. try shrinking it
first. examples are on the left –>
I been tiniting for 12 years and im very dissapointed in this video.. ALOT
of mistakes were made in this demonstration. Remember people if you do use
any of those cheap films and install it yourself, don’t be surprised if it
does’nt last even a year. When its time to replace it’ll cost twice as much
to re-do it. So all you DIY’ers buy your film from a well known company
like LLumar, 3m, Solar Shade, Etc..
well i’m in middle east and i got my tint but do i have to get the
application solution and what can i get instead ?

Okay kids! The secret is you need to apply as much water and detergent mix
from your spray bottle to your tinting film (exposed adhesive) as you think
what is more than enough! My instructions simply told me to just spray my
mix on… no greater detail. My tints were shitty to begin with until I
started two of them over tonight and just finished. But I have a fucking
crack or scratch in one of my tints on the front passenger window. Cutting
was also a problem, more attention needed.

I remove door panel trims most of the time, it allows me to get the film a
little deeper into the door. It sure looks easier when you see it done like
this but I struggled on for a year or more until got my method worked out
and practice is really the key. You cant expect to just pick up a skill
like that from watching a few videos – it’s a hands-on trade – so get
practicing.
