Welcome back to the channel!
Today, I cover a cheap fix to the relatively common problem on the Hummer H3. Front differential bushings are a big issue on these but the passenger side bracket has been discontinued and there are no cheap drop in bushings to repair them. I’d found several options for bushings but they were all $300+ and no one could give me an ETA on them.
With that said, found a few posts on www.hummer4x4offroad.com forum by a member “4speedfunk” (gotta give credit where it’s due) where he was able to use a common bushing with a bit of work. Figured it was worth a shot and so far, it’s a solid fix.

Do you remember off the top of your head the torque specs for the brackets?
If I was doing this on a H3 that isn't lifted and had to remove the CV's…should I replace them or anything else while I'm down there with it apart?
What are the symptoms caused by this piece if it is ruined? And if it is possible that the answer be in an Arabic translation, please and thank you
Thanks for the video.
I'll have to check mine. Just noticed that the bushing on the cross member for the front dif was completely toast doing a trans service. Wouldn't surprise me if these bracket bushings were completely gone too.
Your Vide has save me from proceeding to remove the brackets and purchase new ones. And since only one side is available, you have save me from breaking my head and trying to find the other side. Great Video. Well explain.
How long did it take you to do this? And how much is it to get it fixed?
Thank you so much for making this video.
Thanks 100%
Thank you so much for making this video.
Needed to do the same, and was dreading removing things to get to the bracket.
Again, THANK YOU.
Awesome repair job. Might have to check my H3.
Thank you…. Looking forward to fixing our Hummer H3
Can you please direct me where I can purchase the bushings
I need them for my truck I have the same problem
Very nice!!! I had to do something similar to that on my 99 eclipse spyder about 12 years ago. I just couldn't find the bushings anywhere. I don't remember which ones it was now, as it has been so long. I ended up rebuilding the engine and did a lot of body work and full suspension rebuild on that car. Got over 250,000 miles out of it before I sold it.
