3:09: Re the window off track.
"Basically you'll want to grease it up–and that should fix it".
What?
Grease it up with What? Where?
Etc.?
Thanks.

Quick question. My window goes down and up, however, I think the previous owner had a break in and the window now doesn't go up correctly. It leaves about a 1 inch gap between the door frame and the window. It has crushed the rubber framing and mold pretty bad, too. 2000 Honda Civic LX. I haven't taken the panel off yet to look, but would this be a guide rail problem? I know I am going to need new molding.

Very helpful THANKS…

mathieuinottawa says:

Summary: the square piece of foam may come partially detached from the trim panel, and this can block the window near the bottom of its travel. See 2:43.

Thanks for sharing this! The driver side window on my 2005 civic was getting stuck at the bottom and the issue was the loose piece of foam. It was easy to fix after watching this video, but I will note that you don't need to remove the water shield to access the foam.
