i need to remove the new spark plugs that were put in few days ago? the
mechanic put the electric tape around the bottom of the plugs , is it safe
practice? he said it will prevent spark plugs from going bad… I would
appreciate if you an asnwer me…
So are the torque specs the same for a 95 Honda accord 2.2 non vtec.
Thought I’d ask. Couldn’t find any online
As a greese monkey, he did what I do with the seal to stayin place. The
trick is, under the seal he used sealant to hold the gasket into place. One
thing you may wanna do is give the liquid sealant time to dry tolet it
stick to to valve cover. IF you dont get the original that clamps into
place. One thing I really agree on, “never FORCE the parts into place”.
anything in an engine should always be done with a torque wrench!!!
You are The Man!!

man im gonna try this tomorrow on my Honda civic 91 dx, im getting a little
desperate trying to get it running again, i noticed there is a lot of oil
on the spark plugs. Thank you for the detailed instructions, im very dumb
with cars
hey there eric I noticed the same problem with my 95 Honda accord lx.
I drove it for a month and a half after i bought it before I noticed a
problem with start up. it seemed to skip and gargle a bit as if the pistons
were a lil wobbly.
My father in law thinks the problem is my piston o rings causing the leak.
My step father is convinced it an issue with the head gasket.
I’ve researched and found no symptoms with my car to be similar to the
issues my fathers are thinking of. just what you described. I would like a
lil advice on how you would go about figuring out what the problem is.
Eric. Are there a set of these secondary seals on a B series engine too?
I’ve been getting oil into 2 of my spark plug wells, and I’ve replaced the
valve cover gasket and plug seals up top. — Twice
Are those orings on 1998 Acura RL’s?
What Honda year and model is that? I have a 92 Honda accord ex f22a engine
with (12mm bolts + 10mm bolts) and my manual is missing the page that has
the torque specs. Can I assume they are the same?
hi my honda accord 96 lx is smoking in the morning and then it stop it has
oil in the spark plug chamber does that Mack the smoking in the tel pipe
in the morning
Thank you so much for the video. All the little hints and clues on what to
look for when reinstalling worked out so perfectly. Everything went smooth.
Thank you my man, Thank you!
Hi Eric I am mechanically inclined but I am at a lost here, I have a 95
civic dx hatch with d15z1 motor, two of my spark plugs over time build up
oil on them on the bottom of them so naturally I take them out clean them,
i honestly I can’t afford to take it to get the bottom spark plug gaskets
to get done for three hundred to four hundred bucks in labor wise just to
do some o rings on the rocker arm so what I am asking is this video similar
in away to take off the rocker arm if it was on a d15z1 or a d15b7. Or if
it’s possible if you can make an accurate video about it since no one else
has a tutorial for this type of engine. Thank you very much for your videos
they are always informative
good job eric, what a good guy.
Youre brilliant man, just did this on my 91 civic (a little different) but
this video helped me a lot.
I have a 2002 Mustang gt and I’ve noticed two things. 1- My car burns oil,
and 2-When I take my spark plugs out, they have a decent amount of oil on
about half of them. Do you think it’s my piston rings, valve guide seals,
or simply these little gaskets like on this honda? Thank you
For anyone with this problem, here is the part number, # 91301-PT0-003.
thank you, thank you, thank you “Eric thesmartguy”
Many thanks, sir, this helps clear up a lot of murky questions!
Great detailed video. Please just provide a better higher angle on the
engine next time. thnx
Thank you so much for you fantastic video’s. They have really helped me a
lot! By the way, if it’s not too personal, what did your W2 look like for
2014?? I bet you do alright?
