It's a worse work that I had been done before for a car repairing work so much idiot design no space no enough power to loose the two-crazy bolts unless you have air block wrench and swevel connector at all!

While your video is very informative and your patience are god like, the biggest thing i took away from this video is some jobs are best left to the professionals. I can't imagine attempting this in my driveway on a set of jack stands. Thanks for the video

Did this on my son’s car in the gym parking lot. It’s tight but can be done but having big hands is not helpful. Makes my love my v8’s in trucks.

You helped me so much, thank you!

Great presentation!

Damien Santiamo says:

My skills in car repair are basically spark plugs, oil filter and air filter. But I was able to change my 09 civic starter with your video. Now I am confident to repair anything myself as long as I have to proper tools and your videos.

This is the best video on YouTube .. thanks for your help

Bruce H says:

How did you get your dang hands in like that. I had a heck of a time with the top bolt. You must be a contortionist.

Great Job Gabriel, you showed and explained the procedure very well. I especially appreciated you giving the sizes of the nuts or bolts that you were taking off, ex 14 mm, 12 mm etc It was a great help and saver of time. Take it from a Engineer, you did a great job in explaining and saved me and many of viewers a lot of time and monies. You are a very talented Professional and very generous in showing us how to replace the starter especially without removing the CV Joint.
Thanks again
Nick (San Jose California).

Thanks for this video. Really pretty good! You have the patience of a Saint my friend. I just finished replacing the starter on my wife's 2014 civic. (This HARDEST JOB I've ever had to do on a car.) I'm 60 yrs. and have been fixing my own cars sense I was 16 yrs. I swore like a sailor getting it out, and getting it back in…? I"m going to hell' for cursing the God's! (I'm a reverend you see!) But seriously folks know this! I had the car on the street at home and could only raise it about 20" high because that's all my Harbor freight 2 1/4 ton jack would go! *^$#!!! 1. I couldn't get my hands in the right places at the same time. 2. You can't see anything that you need to see unless you jockey around to five different places on the creeper, none of them good for reaching what you need to. And see and reach at the same time! 3. You have to use a swivel, and extensions on the 14 MM bolts and almost everything else to get them out and in. For the proper range of ratchet. otherwise you're trying to hold the dam thing in place, while trying to turn the main bolts in with no room to hold, turn, thread, see what you're trying to do and swear like a sailor. Because no one would ever be so insane as to engineer something that's this hard to replace! Except Satin's wife herself! 4. THE MORAL IS: jack the car up at least 3' feet! preferably, about 4'-5' on a lift if you possibly can!!! Have all your tools on a tray and…A LARGE SCREW DRIVER TO HOLD STARTER IN PLACE WHILE REINSTALLING. ENOUGH EXTENTIONS, SWEVELS AND WHISKEY ON HAND TO TAKE THE PAIN IN YOUR ASS AWAY!!! FROM SITTING ON IT FOR HOURS!!! WHILE YOU FIGHT WITH EVERY NUT AND BOLT!!! 5. Just have the shop do it, because when you get done you're going to divorce your wife and all half of all your possessions anyway! And having a shop do it is a lot cheaper than that! Unless your wife is to hot to divorce.(Think Sade' and Kim Bassinger and J Lo, all mixed together into one flowing Goddess of love!!! Okay, THAT'S MY SERMON FOR TODAY!!! AMEN!!! PEACE OUT.
REV. SMITTY

Toby Dyes says:

you can remove two bolts on the back of the starter because the starter is no good

Mechanic and skills says:

My yoga master told me not too use my powers on Honda's . Out comes the fucking cv shaft

Bob Kontak says:

Best way to remove top bolt I have found is to go in through the wheel well with a very long extension between lower control arm and tie rod end. Swivel and regular length 14mm socket. I did mine with 3/8" drive and a long handled ratchet. It's hard to bust loose.

Gero Azmodii says:

God I just did mine and was pretty difficult to do it basically the last long screw is a pain in the ass is like touching the panocha with your eyes blindfolded good thing I'm a tinker fixing somebody else things and mine I got it done easily but honestly is not an easy task good luck if anybody goes for it also this video helped me to get it done successfully

Itisi says:

Bro, your video was awesome! I'm having trouble getting passed the green covered wire. I also removed the top bolt wire instead of the side one like you did. It was very hard, but man, did you make it look easy. I've been working on my car all week, looking at different videos but yours was thorough! Thanks, man. I hope I finish this job tomorrow lol

Edward Boyd says:

Thanks great video!! That starter in civic is the worst thing ever!!! But got it done with your help!!! Thanks !!

Infamous 281 says:
