good information
Very helpful thank you
Another thank you for posting this video. It let me know what to look for and what to remove. Saved so much time on taking the guess work out of the whole process. For a first timer from set up to clean up it still was a 5+ hour project. Takes some time to figure out the best way to crawl under and where to put your hand/arms. Goes to show how a lift saves the shops so much time. Knowing socket sizes saves a person so much time. Thank you for that as well. Definitely a job for skinny arms which I thankfully have. With a sweatshirt on I still have marks and bruises on my forearms and my neck/abs/back are sore from laying on my back…hahaha That top bolt was a pain so I drove to the store to get one of those flex head ratchets you were using and the bolt came loose the first time after trying different combos of other ratchets/sockets/extensions. I always use home/auto projects as an excuse to acquire new tools…hahaha. $25 kinda hurt though. Thanks again for the YouTube confidence to try things. Much more satisfying to do it myself than to take it somewhere for someone else to do it.
Thanks this video helped me today. That top bolt was a pain in the butt. Those dang clips nor the power wire cover went back. Had trouble getting the power wire back on with that rubber cover so I cut it off. Good video. Thanks!!
Hi. This is really helpful. Im about to replace my starter. Can you list the tools you used including the length of ratchet? I only have a 12 inch ratchet and im worried it might not be the correct one for the job. Thanks.
Very informative video helped a lot thanks… How ever i ran into a small issue i lost the 12mm bolt for the bracket and now idk what to do can anyone help me?
Awesome instructional video. Thank you!
You make this looks easy.. but it is PIA to remove and install the starter.
Thank you
Very informative!
In the middle of it, but damn that top screw is hard to get. May try penetrating oil or going thru passenger side wheel off.
Great video, only problem I had was installing the top bolt near intake. Thanks .
Great video on how to do it. Just a FYI I found it easier to take the passenger wheel off. It gave me more room to reach the top bolt on the starter
This is a great and very informative video. You make it look deceivingly easy. I just replaced the starter on my 06 Civic and cussed to no end.
This job is not to be done by anyone that wears a glove larger than size small ( I wear XL). After 4.5hrs I finally got the new one on (my hands feel like I repeatedly punched the wall)
Keep up the great videos
Question not sure if you know the answer but what the hell. I have a 2009 civic, and it's been having issues starting. Just replaced the battery earlier this year, and have power when in the On position. It has very slow cranking and then has taken a few times to actually crank over from trying then turning off, then back on again. The car has ZERO issues when I put the car into neutral and start it. Is that the neutral safety switch? Have you ever replaced one?
You make it look so easy! Just had to do this on my sisters car and it required a lot of swearing to get it out.
09 si , doing this now or trying, are you taking the starter off from above? did you remove the plastic panel underneath?
Thanks for this great video my friend, great kitty too.
Awesome video!!! Changed mine today!
