about to do this to my 05 caravan. why do you need an alignment if you

What brand of shocks do you recommend for this vehicle? Also, I have short
jack stands. I assume they should work.
The shocks attach to the steering knuckle on this vehicle. So it throws the
alignment off when you replace them.
